Fujifilm FinePix F30 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-09-05 00:02:00
Fujifilm FinePix F30 digital camera review: Fujifilm set a trend with the Fujifilm F10: digital compact cameras with a high ISO sensitivity. The brand has gone one step further with the recently introduced Fujifilm FinePix F30 digital camera. The maximum sensitivity has been raised to ISO 3200, which was previously unheard of in a digital compact camera like this one. This breakthrough was made possible by the 6 Megapixel Super CCD HR VI image sensor, already the sixth generation and the Real Photo Processor 2. The Fujifilm FinePix F30 is primarily aimed at the ordinary consumer. It is an easy to operate digital compact camera. The high sensitivity is very important for the typical user of the Fujifilm F30.

Fujifilm S3 Pro Ultraviolet & Infrared photography

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-09-04 19:10:00
Fujifilm S3 Pro Ultraviolet & Infrared photography : With the recent announcement of the FinePix S3 Pro UVIR, Fujifilm has unveiled the world's first production D-SLR camera capable of taking photographs in the ultraviolet and infrared light spectrums. But what does this mean and how does a digital camera that can take pictures at either end of the light spectrum help to empower photographers in technical fields such as law-enforcement, medical research, art history, science and fine art photography? The human eye is a remarkable imaging device to be sure, but it can't see everything. Its sensitivity range is limited to wavelengths that normally start at 400 nanometers (violet) at the short end of the visible spectrum and extend to 700 nanometers (deep red) at the long end.

Fuji FinePix F30 underwater housing

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-07-27 10:08:00
Fuji FinePix F30 underwater housing : The FinePix F30 is the first camera with RealPhoto Technology II, and that made me really curious about the performance of this camera under water. In order to be able to use the camera under water, you need the underwater housing WP-FX F30. The housing is extremely compact; “a smart little thing” is a frequently heard comment. There’s a functional diffuser for the flash. Extra protection thanks to the double O-ring. The camera functions can all be adjusted also under water. And the large display can be seen in full even in the underwater housing. Installing the camera in the housing is a piece of cake. The combination of camera and underwater housing does not have the tendency to float and to act like a buoy.

Fujifilm FinePix Z2 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-07-17 22:25:00
Fujifilm FinePix Z2 review : It was hardly surprising when Fujifilm came up with a follow up to the successful Fujifilm FinePix Z1 camera. The first model from the Z series of cameras was already an innovative piece of digital technology and the Fujifilm FinePix Z2 has been developed further. With 5.1 million pixels, the Fujifilm Z2 camera can guarantee attractive enlargements and thanks to the integration of the Super CCD HR image sensor developed within their company, Fujifilm can also guarantee excellent pixel quality. Fujifilm has found enough space is this compact design for a 3x optical zoom lens with a focal range of 6.1 - 18.3mm that is equivalent to a 36 - 108mm zoom lens in a 35mm format camera.

Once Face Detection is activated, it automatically identifies faces in the scene and prioritizes them in as little as 0.05 seconds. It simultaneously displays a green rectangle around the top-priority face, and a white one around other faces before the picture is taken.

Fujifilm FinePix V10 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-06-21 01:06:00
Fujifilm FinePix V10 review : Digital gadgets are becoming increasingly difficult to tell apart. We take photos with mobile phones, whilst calling with a PDA. The Fujifilm FinePix V10 is the latest addition to this series of gadgets. First and foremost, it is a digital compact camera with a stylish design, equipped with the latest Fujifilm technological innovations. In addition to this, the user is presented with the option to play games. The almost square-shaped model is filled to the brim with technical gems, the basis of which is formed by Fujifilm's Real Photo Technology, which they have developed themselves. In the Fujifilm V10, this comes down to a 5.1 Megapixel Super CCD HR.

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-05-30 07:00:00
Fujifilm FinePix Z3 : Fujifilm today announced the launch of Fuji FinePix Z3, the 3rd generation of the iconic ‘Z’ series design. With a re-designed body and funky new colours, the Fujifilm FinePix Z3 digital camera will appeal to the most fashion conscious customers, and is likely to be particularly popular with female owners. Women now buy almost as many digital cameras as men, however the Fuji FinePix Z3’s appeal to this market is more than the usual ‘slim camera’ story. Research has shown that the majority of pictures taken by women are ‘people pictures’ in low light situations and taken in close proximity. Ironically, it is exactly this kind of situation that spells trouble for conventional digital cameras.
