SanDisk joins forces with Top Security providers : SanDisk announced strategic partnerships with the two providers of authentication security solutions to provide an easy-to-use way to protect consumers against online fraud. SanDisk has forged an additional partnership to protect enterprises against the theft of corporate data. SanDisk will add highly secure functionality to its line of Flash USB drives and mobile cards using TrustedFlash technology. TrustedFlash combines SanDisk’s 32-bit controller architecture with an embedded high-performance cryptographic engine to provide real-time encryption and tamper-resistant security to keep stored data secure. TrustedFlash is ideal for supporting one time passwords and secure applications.

Nikon Imaging Software collaborates with Nik Software : Michio Kariya, President of Nikon Corporation, is pleased to announce collaboration in the field of imaging software for digital cameras with American software developer, Nik Software, Inc., formerly nik multimedia, Inc. with Headquarters in San Diego, California. With this collaboration, the technologies of both companies will be merged to develop and market innovative software products based on new concepts. Kodak named to list of Most Sustainable Corporations

Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations : Eastman Kodak Company was recently named to the list of “Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World.” The list was started last year as a project of Corporate Knights, Inc., with Innovest Value Strategic Advisors as the research analytic data provider. Kodak has been selected for the list in both years of its existence. As noted on the Global 100 website, companies whose sustainability performance falls within the top five per cent of their sector, and have been chosen from among 2,000 of the world's largest corporations. These companies have demonstrated through performance and strategic ability an ability to manage the “triple bottom line” (society, environment, and economy).


ITC investigates SanDisk patent violation

ITC investigates SanDisk patent violation : SanDisk Corporation today announced that the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) has instituted an investigation in response to a complaint filed by SanDisk. The investigation, entitled In the Matter of Certain NOR and NAND Flash Memory Devices and Products Containing same, has been assigned Investigation No. 337-TA-560. The ITC will investigate whether NOR and NAND flash memory chips manufactured by STMicroelectronics and sold in the USA infringe SanDisk’s US Patent No. 5,172,338 and US Patent No. 5,991,517, and whether ST’s NOR and NAND flash memory chips should therefore be barred from importation into and sale in the United States.

Tim Stevenson and Michael Tate will provide dedicated support to a range of retail partners across a number of diverse channel sectors. OKI Printing Solutions C5400 : OKI Printing Solutions (the brand name for Oki Data Corporation), today announced a partnership with Anoto. The first integration project is already underway with the C5400, the first color printer to complete the Anoto Print Qualification Program. The Anoto solution is similar to using a digital pen and paper as an interface to the digital world, as the pen stores everything you write in ink onto its digital memory. The paper is printed with the Anoto dot pattern (it is not visible to the eye, but gives the paper a slightly off-white color) and the pen takes a digital snapshot of anything written on the page. Anoto is the only company that licenses the dot pattern technology.
