Tom Boné will be coordinating Nikonians original content creation efforts for the community's expanding readership, which includes imaging professionals as well as advanced photo amateurs. His background in photojournalism spans more than 35 years, starting with his first Nikon camera in 1969. Tom Boné has been an active team member in the Nikonians community since April 2002. "We are truly grateful to have a member with the news media background of Tom Boné join our content and publishing team," says J. Ramon Palacios, one of the community's two founders.

Verbatim Global Recordable CD and DVD Media Sales : Verbatim announced that for the second year in a row it has been named the leading supplier of recordable media worldwide by the Santa Clara Consulting Group. The reports show that Verbatim and Mitsubishi Kagaku Media, not only maintained the Nr. 1 position worldwide but also increased global market share of recordable CDs and DVDs. Their worldwide dominance in the DVD media markets was evident in the report's shipments section, which lists Verbatim / MKM shipments of recordable DVD media in 2005 as 531.249 million - 23.3% more than its competitor. Of the five DVD formats tracked in the report, DVD-R was the most DVD format in 2005 with 59% of DVD recordable disc sales.

The division is implementing this measure in preparation for the launch of the new ZF lenses for Nikon SLR cameras and other future product lines. The company’s new sales department will also be responsible for the Zeiss Ikon camera system previously distributed by a partner. The product line available for this rangefinder camera includes ZM lenses, a unique line of ZEISS M-mount lenses. Corel Software Partners with Markement : Corel Corporation announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Markement, one of Europe's largest suppliers of OEM software. Under the new agreement, Markement will bundle Corel WordPerfect Office X3 as its office productivity suite of choice, displacing StarOffice as part of PCSuite 2006. PCSuite is a software collection sold to resellers and in retail outlets across Europe. The partnership positions Markement as a key OEM bundling partner for Corel WordPerfect Office X3 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The new relationship was announced today in following the news that German and French versions of Corel WordPerfect Office X3 will debut in April 2006.
