Canon EOS 400D review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-12-13 22:00:00
Canon EOS 400D SLR review : Three years ago, Canon shocked the camera market with the introduction of the 8 Megapixel EOS 300D. It was a price breakthrough that would prove very important for the DSLR market. Suddenly, a digital SLR camera had become available for the novice photographer. And things didn't end there; since this event, digital SLR models have been in high demand. After a year and a half, Canon introduced the EOS 350D, which easily matched the success of its predecessor. It was a pretty safe bet that the successor of the EOS 350D would once again follow a year and a half later. Such was indeed the case. Canon's latest DSLR camera, the successor of the EOS 350D, turns out to be the Canon EOS 400D, a ten Megapixel model.

Canon PowerShot A710 IS review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-11-15 01:30:00
Canon PowerShot A710 IS digital camera review : When Canon launches new products, you almost always get a flood of them all at once. They often replace much of the line up in one go. Sometimes the improvements are only marginal, but sometimes they can be really worthwhile. Just before the Photokina 2006, the world's largest digital imaging event, the Canon PowerShot A710 IS was launched as a successor to the A700 op. The Canon A710 IS camera gained an extra one million pixels, an improved LCD monitor and image stabilisation. The last feature in particular is a real and very welcome improvement. We have been able to extensively test the PowerShot A710 IS in practise. Our findings can be read in the following review.

Canon IXUS 900 Ti review

Mark Peters : 2006-10-25 16:30:00
Canon Digital IXUS 900 Ti camera review : September 2006 marked the 10th anniversary of the IXUS camera, which gave Canon a good reason to celebrate. Ten years of IXUS is without question an impressive achievement in today's rapidly changing camera world. Ten years ago, Canon embarked on their journey with an analogue IXUS camera, which proved to be the start of an impressive line of analogue and digital IXUS models. During the party, Canon introduced no less than three new IXUS models, among which the Canon Digital IXUS 900 Ti camera. This new top model from the Digital IXUS series is equipped with the latest technology, and as one may expect of an IXUS camera, the Canon 900 Ti features a truly stylish design.

Canon IXUS 800 IS review

Mark Peters : 2006-06-18 12:00:00
Canon IXUS 800IS review : The successful series of digital IXUS cameras brings us the Canon Digital IXUS 800 IS digital camera. This new top model from the Digital IXUS series is equipped with the latest technology, and comes in the trendiest "jacket" of the series. As far as specifications are concerned, the Canon IXUS 800IS leads Canon's compact camera range; not only does the camera have the stylish looks that the IXUS line is famed for, it also features a 4x optical zoom and the same optical Image Stabilizer (IS) technology that is used in Canon's professional EF lenses. We've been able to use the Canon Digital IXUS 800 IS in practise for a while, our findings can be read in the following camera review.

Canon Digital IXUS 65 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-05-13 00:20:00
Canon Digital IXUS 65 review : If you can judge the worth of a concept by the times it is copied, then Canon's IXUS series is a definite success. Many digital cameras currently on the market bear a lot of similarities to the Canon Digital IXUS digital camera. This is quite logical as Canon has achieved a perfect combination of design and functionality in this series. The latest top model, the Canon IXUS 65 has brought Canon one step closer to perfection. The Canon IXUS 65 first grabs your attention because of something it doesn't have: many pixels. The Canon IXUS 65 only has six, less than many of its competitors. The Japanese giant made this choice deliberately, going for better instead of more pixels: quality above quantity.

Canon PowerShot S3 IS review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-05-12 15:30:00
Canon PowerShot S3 IS review : The PowerShot S3 IS is the successor of the PowerShot S2 IS, which was subjected to an array of tests in one of our previous in-depth digital camera reviews. Digital cameras such as the Canon S3 IS enjoy a considerable popularity, which arises from the fact that they have so much to offer for a relatively low price. The Canon S3 IS features, for instance, an impressive 12x optical zoom, equipped with an image stabiliser, which enables hand-held shots even when working with long focal lengths. The rotating and tilting monitor allows you to capture your images from virtually every imaginable position and angle. The resolution of 6 Megapixels is more than sufficient to produce a beautiful A4 print.

Canon PowerShot A700 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-05-02 13:10:00
Canon PowerShot A700 digital camera review : Early this year, just before the start of the PMA 2006, Canon introduced an entire new series of digital cameras. Most of these new models are now gradually becoming available for digital camera reviews. Such is also the case with the Canon PowerShot A700. This new model is equipped with a 6 Megapixel image sensor, and features the renowned PowerShot A-series design. Six Megapixels seems to have been declared the standard resolution for the amateur photographer. Although the new Canon A700 does not have a predecessor, it greatly resembles the, for instance, Canon PowerShot A530 and 540 models. The Canon PowerShot A700 is the flagship of the current PowerShot A-series digital cameras.

Canon PowerShot A620 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-05-01 14:55:00
Canon PowerShot A620 digital camera review : Canon has found a formula for success with the PowerShot series of digital cameras. The concept of a wide range of functionalities and advanced features with a low entry-level for users has really caught on, and it is with good reason that the PowerShot A series of cameras is popular with Canon users. The Canon PowerShot was officially introduced in 2005, replacing the Canon A95 and raising the resolution to 7 Megapixels simultaneously. One of the differences to its predecessor is the format and flexibility of the screen at the back of the camera; it has been enlarged from 1.8 to 2.0 inches and can be tilted.
