Canon Digital ELPH Tenth Birthday Celebration : The ELPH brand has turned ten and the proud parents at Canon want the world to join in the celebration. Crediting the Canon design team that a decade ago, turned a technologically advanced new camera format into an elegantly-simple style statement, Canon USA Vice President and General Manager of Sales Eliott Peck announced a series of events that emphasize the fun, fashion, glitz and glamour that the industry-leading ELPH cameras have come to characterize. “We, of course want to share with the public our pride, pleasure and gratitude at this ten-year milestone for the Canon ELPH cameras and now the Canon Digital ELPH cameras,” said Eliott Peck.

Canon Photokina booth

Ilse Jurriën : 2006-10-09 19:00:00
Canon booth at Photokina : It was practically impossible to avoid the booth that Canon had allocated themselves. The enormous range of products that Canon had introduced to the public this year and just before the Photokina, were presented against a brightly coloured red and white background. One of the magnets was the Canon EOS 400D, the successor to the highly successful EOS 350D as well as being Canon’s debut on the 10 Megapixel segment. The Canon 400D must compete against an army of 10 Megapixel DSLR cameras and although you could normally bet your life on Canon taking a large share of the market, things may be different this year. The competition is also churning out winners and the Nikon D80 and Pentax K10D in particular will be able to give Canon a good run for its money and maybe even make a dent in Canon’s DSLR supremacy.
