Archos 604 WiFi video player : Archos, Inc. announced the general availability of the Archos 604-WiFi, the industry’s only portable video player with integrated wireless technology. The 604-WiFi features 802.11g wireless connectivity, which allows consumers to browse the Internet, send and receive Web-based email, and play media files from their home computer to the device or to the TV. The 30GB* device retails for $449.99 and is available now at the Archos website and select Sam’s Club stores nationwide. “Being a technology leader is a priority for Archos and we’ve introduced many firsts in the portable media category, including the world’s first portable video player in 2003,” said Larry Smith, Archos Chief Operating Officer.

Archos reduce prices portable DVD Player & DVR : Archos, Inc., announced today new pricing across its line of award-winning portable video players and recorders. Effective today, the new prices include $200 off the 100GB AV 700 Mobile Digital Video Recorder (DVR). Archos also announces the relocation of its U.S. operations from Irvine, Calif. to Denver, Colo. and three new executives joining the U.S. team. As Archos nears the release of its 2006 products to include further innovations unseen in today's portable video player market - the company reduced prices on its popular AV 700 and AV 500 Mobile DVRs, and Gmini 402 Camcorder, the industry's first portable audio and video player with built-in digital camera and camcorder.
