Inside digital photo live at PhotoPlus Expo : Inside Media Networks and its official media content partners, Popular Photography & Imaging and American Photo Magazines along with publisher Hachette Filipacchi Media US, announce the launch of an innovative broadcasting concept at one of the industry’s most important tradeshows. “Inside Digital Photo” will launch with interviews and footage captured live at PhotoPlus Expo. Hosted by industry insider Scott Sheppard, one of the most respected technical experts in the converging arena of digital, online and broadcast media, the Inside Digital Photo program will feature the best of new products, trends, and exhibited at PPE via select, scheduled tapings.

American Photo Editors Choice Award 2006 : American Photo Magazine have announced their eight annual Editor's Choice awards. Photography has always been an art based on science, as advances hurtle us along with startling speed. To produce this special section we turned to Executive Editor Russell Hart and a team of experts, this year including contributing editors Jonathan Barkey and Steve Pollock, Popular Photography & Imaging editors Dan Richards and Debbie Grossman, and writers Aimee Baldridge and Phil Ryan. In addition, Alexis Gerard, president of Future Image Inc., contributed an essay looking into photography's technological future. If the state of the art is this good now, just imagine what's coming down the road.
