Adobe MAX 2006 Internet and Design conference : Adobe Systems Incorporated today announced the Adobe MAX 2006 Conference, to be held Oct. 23-26 in Las Vegas. MAX 2006 will give developers and designers a forum to network, share ideas, gain new skills and learn about new and emerging Adobe products and technologies. Adobe also announced the call for entries for the fourth annual Adobe MAX Awards, which recognize customer achievement in eight different categories. With the conference theme of "Beyond Boundaries," the event will feature keynotes by Adobe CEO Bruce Chizen, President and COO Shantanu Narayen and Chief Software Architect Kevin Lynch. Adobe MAX 2006 is a significant milestone in the integration of Macromedia and Adobe.

Flash Player provides a more secure, lightweight, robust runtime environment for rich media and enterprise-ready rich Internet applications. Flash Player 9 achieves up to 10 times faster performance through ActionScript 3.0 and a new ActionScript Virtual Machine (AVM), which features a Just In Time (JIT) compiler that translates ActionScript bytecode to native machine code for maximum execution speed.

The latest version adds features suggested by beta testers that allow greater control over export size and resolution, refined metadata selection with print output and RGB value readouts for greater editing precision. New to the Develop module are Before and After preview tools and History features that allow a photographer to quickly preview and track changes, more control over the size and resolution of exported photos.

The deadline for entries is 12:00 midnight EST, June 30, 2006.
