Adobe MAX 2006 Internet and Design conference : Adobe Systems Incorporated today announced the Adobe MAX 2006 Conference, to be held Oct. 23-26 in Las Vegas. MAX 2006 will give developers and designers a forum to network, share ideas, gain new skills and learn about new and emerging Adobe products and technologies. Adobe also announced the call for entries for the fourth annual Adobe MAX Awards, which recognize customer achievement in eight different categories. With the conference theme of "Beyond Boundaries," the event will feature keynotes by Adobe CEO Bruce Chizen, President and COO Shantanu Narayen and Chief Software Architect Kevin Lynch. Adobe MAX 2006 is a significant milestone in the integration of Macromedia and Adobe.

Adobe software showcased at PMA 2006 : Adobe announced wide-spread support from the photography community and ecosystem partners for Adobe Lightroom Beta 2.0 and Photoshop CS2 software. With two open and extensible architectures, both applications allow for new, customizable workflows and innovative plug-ins and devices. "The inspiration for the development of Lightroom and the exploration of new directions for Photoshop has come from our customers and ecosystem partners," said Deborah Whitman, vice president for Digital Imaging at Adobe. "There has been a flurry of activity in the Lightroom Beta forums and it's exciting for us to watch the beta evolve as photographers help us build an application tailored to their needs."
