Olympus Mju 800 with Duran Duran photos auctioned : Currently heading into the home stretch of an eighteen month long world tour in support of their chart-topping album ?Astronaut’ (Epic Records), the five original members of Duran Duran (Simon LeBon, Andy Taylor, John Taylor, Roger Taylor and Nick Rhodes) are now on their way back to the United States and then Japan, where they will complete another five week run of dates, before returning to the studio to start work on their next record. Duran Duran’s upcoming North American tour marks the band’s third outing to the US in the past two years and follows a series of 28 European shows that included a four-song performance at the historic Live 8 concert at the Circus Maximus in Rome.

Photoleap Leapback to share digital photos : Photoleap, maker of the only e-mail companion that can send and receive hundreds of large digital photos in a single message, today announced the release of Photoleap 1.1 with its new group photo-sharing feature, Leapback. For the first time, anyone can share photo albums online and allow others to request and receive the photos. With Leapback, a photographer simply uploads a set of photos and assigns a descriptive e-mail address to the album. Anyone who wants the photos can e-mail that address and have the entire album of full-size digital photos sent right to them. The photographer can even mark the album public, so other attendees can easily add their own event photos to the album.

HP Snapfish will host Walgreens new photo website : HP and Walgreens today announced that HP's Snapfish has been selected to host Walgreens new online photo website. The new site allows Walgreens customers to enjoy Snapfish's easy-to-use tools for online photo ordering, sharing and storage. Walgreens also is rolling out on a market-by-market basis the ability for customers to upload photos to the site and pick up prints at the Walgreens store of their choice in as little as one hour. The service will be available in all markets where Walgreens operates by September. Customers can also opt for mail delivery of prints made from their uploaded photos.


Epson will build new distribution center

Epson will build new distribution center : Epson America, Inc. announced plans for the construction of a new distribution facility in Plainfield, Ind., a suburb of Indianapolis. The new 750,000-square-foot facility will create more than 130 additional jobs and expand Epson's capacity to meet growing demand for its vast array of digital imaging products. Construction of the state-of-the-art facility, which will handle warehousing and distribution, a repair depot and sales of parts and accessories, is expected to start later this month and is scheduled for completion on April 1, 2006. All current employees will relocate from the existing 462,000-square-foot Indianapolis facility to the new location in June 2006.
