Verbatim launches Silver Inkjet Printable CD-Rs

Verbatim Corporation, an industry leader known for the premium quality of its recordable CD and DVD discs, has announced the availability of its new 52x/80-Min. Silver Inkjet Printable CD-Rs in 50-pack spindles through US retail. The discs combine highly reliable recording technology and broad read compatibility with a new, highly advanced printable surface that optimizes inkjet printing and ink drying times. This combination enables users to make error-free recordings labeled with crisp, clear reproductions of full-color images and text. "These unique silver CD-Rs offer truly photographic-quality text and images," said Ron Hanafin, Verbatim Product Marketing Manager.

"Are you making this up as you go along?" The question came from an assistant John Huet hired for a shoot in San Francisco. John's answer was, "Absolutely. I do my best work that way." John was in the middle of the first day of shooting for a major ad campaign, and the assistant, who had never worked with him before, was puzzled by John's approach. "We had certain situations the client wanted to cover," John says, "but within the general idea - which was to photograph a tennis serve - I could do whatever I wanted. So I shot three different variations with different backgrounds, different angles, different lighting techniques. That's my favorite way to work."

In 2004 Fuji Photo Film USA, Inc., and Sprint announced a service that changed the face of mobile imaging. Fujifilm US DVD and CD-R package introduction : Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. unveils a new optical media packaging system at the 2005 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week. The new design is part of an overall Fujifilm marketing effort to simplify consumer choice. The new packaging system will appear in retail and consumer channels this spring.
