Sony Cybershot DSC R1 review at Steves Digicams

Dennis Hissink : 2005-12-31 01:40:42
Sony Cybershot DSC R1 review at Steves Digicams : Our good friends at Steves Digicams have published their review of the Sony Cybershot R1 digital camera. The Cyber-shot R1 is the world’s first that combines a large 10.3 effective Megapixel CMOS sensor, and a high quality 24-120 mm (35mm) Zeiss Zoom lens. The large Sony CMOS sensor is able to capture more light, reducing noise levels, allowing higher shutter speeds, and therefore reducing the effects of handshake for beautifully clear, true to life pictures. The unique ‘short back focus design’ of the Sony R1 digital camera also allows the last lens to be positioned immediately in front of the CMOS sensor, contributing to a reduction in chromatic aberration.
