Sony SXR-R110 projector introduction : At Cinema Expo this year, Sony is demonstrating the world’s first commercially available ?4K’-pixel projector. The SXR-R110 projector uniquely bridges the gap between today’s 2K standard and the future Hollywood studio standard of 4K. The Sony SRX-R110 conforms to DCI (Digital Cinema Initiative) System Specification standards for digital cinema picture quality and achieves an extraordinary 4K (4096 x 2160) image resolution, four times the resolution of a 2K projector, in anticipation of future 4K movie releases by the major Hollywood studios. Europe’s first commercial installation of the SRX-R110 4K projector is at the Nova Kino in Trondheim (Norway).
