Sanyo Xacti VPC E6 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-12-12 01:05:00
Sanyo Xacti VPC-E6 review : August of this year (2005) Sanyo introduced their new flagship, the Xacti E6. The design of the camera is rather sober. It features smooth round shapes and the housing consists of a matte aluminium material. Looking at the specifications it seems we're dealing with a standard digital compact camera. Until our eye caught the information concerning the LCD monitor. The Sanyo Xacti E6 is equipped with a monitor of no less than 3 inches! Sanyo is one of the first manufactures making the step to 3-inch. Only Sony has also created a model with this monitor size. Besides this pleasant feature we notice an additional interesting feature that is unique at this moment, the so-called Touch Sensor.

Sanyo Xacti S6 introduction : Just a few days after we brought to you the news of the Sanyo Xacti E6 digital camera with its large 3-inch LCD display Sanyo is introducing another new digital camera. The Sanyo Xacti S6 is not that fancy like the Sanyo E6, but is offering 6.0 effective Megapixels and a 3x optical zoom. According to the translation of the Sanyo Japanese site the new Sanyo S6 digital camera is able to focus from 5cm distance in macro mode. Taking a closer look at the specifications of the camera we scale this mode as an entry-level digital camera. Like the Xacti E6 the new Sanyo S6 is equipped with Sanyo's new features the One-Touch button. This new feature should improve the reaction of the Sanyo Xacti S6 camera.

Dennis Hissink : 2005-08-15 22:12:00
Sanyo Xacti E6 introduction : Sanyo introduces the new Sanyo Xacti E6, an ultra-thin digital camera from the Xacti series. Apart from the 3x internal optical zoom the special characteristics of the Sanyo E6 are an impressive large 3-inch (7,32 cm) LCD display, MPEG4 format video recording and a so called Touch-Sensor. This new feature should improve the reaction of the Sanyo Xacti E6. The Touch-Sensor is in fact a short-cut to focus faster on a subject. By touching the release button on top of the camera the Sanyo E6 is already ready to capture the image, you can compare it with half-pressing a ordinary shutter release button of a digital camera. By integrating this new features Sanyo improves the reaction time by 0.05 seconds.
