Pentax Optio WP review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-09-18 02:00:00
Pentax Optio WP review : The Pentax Optio WP compact digital camera features JIS Class 8-equivalent waterproof performance and has a body only 22mm thick. What's more, the new Optio WP also features a 2.0-inch LCD monitor, a 3X optical zoom lens and the imaging power of 5.0 effective megapixels. Developed in line with the three keywords, 'Sportiness', 'Elegance', and, 'Leisure', the OptioWP provides the user with the advantage of waterproof performance that enables confident shooting during a range of water sports. And unusually for a camera with such sporting capability, the Pentax WP also has surprisingly sophisticated styling that makes it ideal for use on practically any kind of occasion.

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-09-17 01:30:00
Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ30 preview : The brand new Panasonic flagship is a pro-consumer model with an 8 Megapixels CCD on board. The Panasonic FZ30 has a newly developed 12x optical zoom featuring a mechanically linked zoom ring, fully internal zoom and image stabilization. This powerful zoom lens also features a manual focus ring (electronic). A key feature of the DMC FZ30 is the Optical Image Stabilizer, MEGA O.I.S. it is deservedly continued as Panasonic advanced the theory that it should be standard in all digital still cameras. The newly incorporated Extra Optical Zoom extends the zoom ratio by using the center part of the high resolution CCD. We, Lets Go Digital had the opportunity to review the Panasonic DMC FZ30.

CameraTown reviews Samsung Digimax i5 : Our good friend Ron Risman from CameraTown has published his review of the new Samsung Digimax i5 digital camera. The 1.7 cm flat Digimax i5 from Samsung features 3x optical zoom (39-117 mm/F3.5-4.5 equivalent of a 35mm camera), a 5-Megapixel-CCD-Chip and on-board electronics fully packed with functions.

Canon Powershot S2 IS review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-08-29 02:09:03
Canon Powershot S2 IS digital camera review : The Canon Powershot S2 IS, quite a mouth full, is the successor of the S1. The Powershot S2 IS was officially introduced in April of this year and is available for some months now. The Canon S2 IS camera features an impressive optical zoom of 12x combined with an almost indispensable image stabilisation. When used to working with this function, you don't want to do without it anymore. The specifications of the Canon Powershot S2 IS are impressive; 5 Megapixels, 12x zoom with optical image stabilisation, high video clip resolution and the already rather famous DIGIC II processor. We have tested the Canon S2 IS in practice, our experiences with this camera are written down in our review

Canon EOS 5D preview

Mark Peters : 2005-08-25 10:39:00
Canon EOS 5D preview : Today we were invited to join Canon with their presentation of the 2nd digital wave that will hit the world. Amazing, how many products Canon have launched this year, every 4 days they have launched a new digital imaging product! During the presentation I was able to get my hands on the new Canon 5D digital SLR camera. Although it was only for a short moment I was able to get a first impression and the following article gives you a closer look at the already famous new Canon EOS 5D D-SLR. For those of you who already start ordering their own Canon 5D, the price in the Netherlands is set at EUR 3299,- including VAT. Expect the Canon EOS 5D digital reflex camera to be available on the market in September 2005.

Pentax *ist DL SLR review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-08-21 15:20:00
Pentax *ist DL review : With a compact, lightweight body, simplified operations and outstanding cost performance, the Pentax *istDL is designed to extend the advantages of high-quality digital SLR photography, including lens interchangeability, to photographers of all levels, even those who are unfamiliar with digital and SLR photography. The *ist DL SLR camera is not intended as a successor of the current Pentax *ist DS, but it surely is a digital reflex that looks rather similar to the *ist DS. The new *ist DL was designed as an affordable starter camera by further advancing Pentax’s digital camera develop-ment concepts of "user-friendliness" and "a harmony between ease of use and portability."

Canon PowerShot A520 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-08-11 11:20:00
Canon PowerShot A520 review : The PowerShot A520 is the successor to the PowerShot A85 with enhanced compactness and functions. The Canon A520 digital camera is equipped with an approximately 4.0 million camera effective pixel 1/2.5-inch Charge Coupled Device (CCD). The DIGIC Imaging Processor speeds precise image handling, and when teamed with iSAPS technology, results in the best image control. The Canon A520 is equipped with a 4x optical zoom lens, which covers a 35mm film equivalent focal length ranging from 35 mm to 140 mm, and has an f/2.6 to f/5.5 aperture. Therefore, its optical shooting range is even wider than PowerShot A85. The Powershot A520 camera succeeds the basic shooting ability of the PowerShot A85.
