D200 preview

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-11-01 07:00:05
Nikon D200 preview : Among all product announcements occasionally there is a product that you definitely cannot wait to get your hands on. Today we are pleased to give you an exclusive preview of a very interesting new Nikon D-SLR, the Nikon D200. According to Nikon :"The Nikon D200 bridges the gap", and after having handled the new D200 D-SLR ourselves we can only confirm that statement. At this moment no other solution equals what the Nikon D200 is offering you when you look at quality, specifications and price for that matter. With the introduction of the D200 Nikon creates a new class of digital SLR camera between entry-level (D50 and D70s) and professional D-SLR cameras (D2Hs and D2x).

Nikon Coolpix S4 preview

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-10-28 22:22:22
Nikon Coolpix S4 preview : The Nikon Coolpix S4 is one of the Coolpix cameras Nikon introduced just before the IFA 2005 kicked off. The concept of the Nikon S4 is rather familiar. The adjustable lens is also found on the Coolpix 4500 and 995 digital cameras. At the time this already was a successful concept also because of the extensive possibilities these cameras had to offer. Despite the look-alike design of the Nikon Coolpix S4 compared with its predecessors, the target group seems to have changed. My estimation is that the target group has definitely grown because of the fact that the S4 camera is more of an entry-level model with attractive specifications than a versatile camera with emphasis on this versatility.

Canon EOS 5D review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-10-24 03:04:03
Canon EOS 5D SLR review : Since Kodak is no longer producing Pro SLRs, Canon is the only manufacturer with a digital reflex camera (D-SLR) featuring a full-sized image sensor. Until shortly the EOS-1Ds Mark II was the only camera containing such a sensor. A beautifully professional D-SLR camera but an enormous investment and possibly too big to handle for a large group of consumers. Moreover the demand for a compacter and lighter version seemed to grow and presently there was gab in between the EOS 20D and the professional Canon D-SLRs. Both gabs are now solved with the Canon EOS 5D. We have reviewed the Canon 5D, a true professional, quite compact D-SLR camera with impressive specifications.
