Ricoh GR preview

Mark Peters : 2005-09-25 18:18:18
Ricoh GR digital preview : In all these years since we have been around we have seen quite a number of cameras, and to be honest, most of them are not that exciting at all. Some models are developed just to function as a follow-up without any new features or improvements at all, just a new colour and a new name. Today, we give you an exclusive preview of a digital camera that is developed from the heart and mind of a photographer, for a photographer... The Ricoh GR Digital is a camera that awakens old memories and reminds you of those days when film was the universal platform instead of a flash card. The sample we have used for our preview is not a final sample, although close to a full production model.

Kodak EasyShare V550 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-09-20 21:30:00
Kodak EasyShare V550 digital camera review : Now that Kodak stopped manufacturing digital SLR cameras, the entire series of digital cameras consists of EasyShare digital camera models. EasyShare does exactly what the name tells you: easy sharing of pictures. Core of the system is the docking station. You place the camera in the station and pushing the button once sends your photos to email, hard drive or printer. It works as simple as it sounds. Within the EasyShare series, Kodak distinguishes some series, depending on the target group. The top model of the pocket series is the Kodak EasyShare V550. We got the change to test the Kodak digital camera in practise, and our experiences can be found in the following review.

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-08-29 02:09:03

The Powershot S2 IS was officially introduced in April of this year and is available for some months now. The Canon S2 IS camera features an impressive optical zoom of 12x combined with an almost indispensable image stabilisation. When used to working with this function, you don't want to do without it anymore. The specifications of the Canon Powershot S2 IS are impressive; 5 Megapixels, 12x zoom with optical image stabilisation, high video clip resolution and the already rather famous DIGIC II processor. We have tested the Canon S2 IS in practice, our experiences with this camera are written down in our review

Pentax *ist DL SLR review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-08-21 15:20:00
Pentax *ist DL review : With a compact, lightweight body, simplified operations and outstanding cost performance, the Pentax *istDL is designed to extend the advantages of high-quality digital SLR photography, including lens interchangeability, to photographers of all levels, even those who are unfamiliar with digital and SLR photography. The *ist DL SLR camera is not intended as a successor of the current Pentax *ist DS, but it surely is a digital reflex that looks rather similar to the *ist DS. The new *ist DL was designed as an affordable starter camera by further advancing Pentax’s digital camera develop-ment concepts of "user-friendliness" and "a harmony between ease of use and portability."

Canon PowerShot A520 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-08-11 11:20:00
Canon PowerShot A520 review : The PowerShot A520 is the successor to the PowerShot A85 with enhanced compactness and functions. The Canon A520 digital camera is equipped with an approximately 4.0 million camera effective pixel 1/2.5-inch Charge Coupled Device (CCD). The DIGIC Imaging Processor speeds precise image handling, and when teamed with iSAPS technology, results in the best image control. The Canon A520 is equipped with a 4x optical zoom lens, which covers a 35mm film equivalent focal length ranging from 35 mm to 140 mm, and has an f/2.6 to f/5.5 aperture. Therefore, its optical shooting range is even wider than PowerShot A85. The Powershot A520 camera succeeds the basic shooting ability of the PowerShot A85.

Ricoh Caplio GX8 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-07-08 18:15:00
Ricoh Caplio GX8 digital camera review : More than a year ago Ricoh introduced the Ricoh Caplio GX, a 5 Megapixel camera with a number of unique features. Now Ricoh introduces the Ricoh GX8 as its successor; an almost similar camera but with no less than 8 Megapixels. These 8.2 Megapixels make the Ricoh Caplio GX8 take the lead as far as number of pixels on digital compact cameras is concerned. Besides its high resolution, the camera has some additional interesting possibilities. The Ricoh Caplio GX8 is a digital compact camera with the shortest interval of release ever, and the camera is one of a few with the highest ISO setting. Besides that, the camera stands out because of its real wide angle and its remarkable continuous mode.
