Nikon Coolpix S1 review

Mark Peters : 2005-05-20 01:00:00
Nikon Coolpix S1 digital camera review : Nikon introduced a small digital design camera in the first quarter of this year: the Nikon Coolpix S1. This model is completely newly developed and has a very classy appearance. The Nikon S1 is available in the colours Pure Silver and Ebony Black. The material used for the housing of the camera is aluminium and is beautifully finished. The new Nikon Coolpix S1 has a very compact size and is ultra flat with only 19.7 mm. Despite its slim body, the camera is equipped with a 3x optical zoom lens that doesn't extend, like we have seen on other thin digital cameras. This means we find an internal zoom lens with a 3x optical range on this Nikon digital camera.

Steves digital camera review

Mark Peters : 2005-05-17 11:00:00
Steves digital camera review Canon Rebel XT | EOS 350D : Our good friends over at Steves Digicams have published an extensive review of the new Canon Rebel XT | EOS 350D digital camera. It is an upgrade of the Canon EOS Rebel | EOS 300D but incorporates a 8.0 Megapixel image sensor. The launch completes a refresh of the entire digital EOS line-up and confirms Canon's commitment to digital SLR research and development. "The new Canon 350D will now take over," said Mogens Jensen, Head of Canon Consumer Imaging Europe. "Canon predicts the D-SLR market will double in size by the end of 2006." The Canon EOS 350D features a newly developed, second generation, extremely low noise APS-C size 8.0 Megapixel CMOS sensor.

Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z5 review

Mark Peters : 2005-05-14 20:00:00
Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z5 review : Surprisingly soon after introducing the DiMAGE Z3, Konica Minolta announced the introduction of the DiMAGE Z5. The Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z5 now offers more Megapixels; it offers 5 Megapixels to be precise. One of the main changes is the monitor on the back of the camera; it has become a lot larger. Other than that there were minor changes in comparison to the previous model. Features that remained are the large zoom range and the image stabilisation in the form of the Anti-Shake system. The Z-series is a rather striking camera line within the Konica Minolta full range of digital compact cameras. It finds itself in between the real entry-level models and the semi-professionals of the A-series.

Canon IXUS 50 review

Mark Peters : 2005-05-10 11:55:00
Canon Digital IXUS 50 digital camera review : Beginning of this year Canon introduced a complete new range of digital cameras, amongst them the new Canon Digital IXUS 50. This extremely compact digital camera, designed on the basis of the previously introduced Canon Digital IXUS 40, is placed in a neatly finished metal housing. Despite its small appearance the Canon IXUS 50 has more to offer than you'd think at first glance. The Canon Digital IXUS 50 doesn't yield in anything to his big brother the Canon Digital IXUS 700. The Digital IXUS guaranteed success from the minute the digital camera was introduced. If it wasn't for the compact size, then it was the beautiful design the consumer went for.

Canon 350D review

Mark Peters : 2005-05-02 23:00:00
Canon 350D digital camera review : As a bolt from the blue Canon introduced an affordable digital SLR camera back in 2003. This way Canon stole a march on arch-competitor Nikon, who immediately struck back with the D70. Beginning of this year Canon introduced the successor of the Canon EOS 300D, conform their policy of bringing a new model on the market every year and a half. The Canon EOS 350D is not an improved version but it is a totally newly developed camera. The sensor is identical to the one on the Canon EOS 20D; just its size is somewhat smaller. Other internal features like the processor have been upgraded. But the most striking part of course is the appearance of the body.

Fujifilm FinePix E550 digital camera review

Dennis Hissink : 2005-02-07 08:00:27
Fujifilm FinePix E550 digital camera review : The Fujifilm FinePix E550 digital camera was introduced in July 2004. This new model looks a lot like the FinePix 810 digital camera but is presented like a 'no-nonsense' camera, or in other words, it's a digital camera from the 'E' series FinePix digital cameras. The Fujifilm E550 digital camera is equipped with a Super CCD HR sensor which delivers a resolution of 6.3 Megapixels. This sensor should ensure lower sensitivity and a more precise signal/noise ratio. The Fujifilm FinePix E550 offers an attractive resolution for a rather low price. It is even possible to produce a 12.3 Megapixel image (interpolated) thanks to the Super CCD HR.

Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro digital camera review

Dennis Hissink : 2005-02-02 09:18:28
Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro digital camera review : Fujifilm announced the FinePix S3 Pro, successor to Fujifilm's critically-acclaimed FinePix S2 Pro digital SLR, one year ago. The Fujifilm S3 Pro has been conceived as the camera of choice for photographers who wish to achieve image quality worthy of Fujifilm's professional film heritage. The Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro incorporates the new 4th Generation Super CCD SR II, with 12.34 million effective pixels (6.17 million S-pixels and 6.17 million R-pixels). Maximum image size is an ultra-high resolution of 12.1 million recording pixels, resulting in noticeable improvements in picture quality. The Super CCD SR II sensor's unique dual size pixel design produces expanded dynamic range.

Nikon Coolpix 8800 digital camera review

Dennis Hissink : 2005-02-01 09:00:19
Nikon Coolpix 8800 digital camera review : Nikon 8800 carries 8 Megapixels and a high-powered 10x Zoom-Nikkor ED lens with a Vibration Reduction (VR) System - a first for the Coolpix digital camera range. With such quality and performance, the Nikon Coolpix 8800 plans to lead not only the Nikon Coolpix line, but the entire consumer digital camera market, as well. The Nikon Coolpix 8800 is designed for serious photographers who aspire to take the highest quality images. With its 10x zoom, it also targets those who require higher zoom power and those who benefit from its fully loaded yet completely portable design. The Nikon Coolpix 8800 meets their requirements, as well as demands from those who want state-of-the-art image quality.
