Pretec miniSD flash memory card : Pretec Electronics Corp., the 1st in the world to demonstrate MMC 4.0 card since 2004, and the 1st in the world to offer 4GB SD card since July 2005, has released 2GB miniSD(, the largest capacity miniSD card today at IT Month 2005 (Hall 3, Booth G165) in Taipei. Mobile devices using the Pretec 2GB miniSD card can store more than 500 MP3 songs or more than 4000 digital photos. The Pretec 2GB miniSD( card also provides a tremendous advantage for the latest multimedia mobile phones designed with a miniSD slot, which typically require larger capacity when hours of recorded audio and/or video data (such as MPEG4 movie) are needed, the 1st in the world.

Pretec 4GB MMC Plus 266X extendable to 2TB : Pretec claims to be the 1st in the world to demonstrate MMC 4.0 card since 2004, and the 1st in the world to offer 4GB SD card since July 2005, has released 4GB MMC Plus 266X, the largest capacity MMC card today at IFA 2005 in Berlin. Theoretical maximum speed of today's popular MMC 3.x and SD 1.0 cards are 2.5MB/s and 12.5MB/s in SD's favor, however, theoretical maximum speed of advanced specifications call for much higher speed of MMC 4.x at 52MB/s vs. SD 1.1 at 25MB/s. Pretec 4GB MMC Plus 266X, with access speed up to 40MB/s, doubling the speed of recently announced Pretec 4GB SD card 133X. Pretec 4GB MMC Plus is available for $699, mass production is scheduled by Q4 of this year.

Pretec 4GB Secure Digital card introduction : Pretec, the inventor of iDisk Tiny and CU-Flash, the smallest USB flash Drive in the world since 2003, has released the Pretec 4GB Secure Digital card, the largest capacity of SD card in the world. Pretec 4GB SD card is the newest addition of its high speed line of 133X SD card, from 256MB to 4GB, with access speed up to 20MB/s, the fastest SD card in the world so far conform to SD 1.1 specification. Constructed with 65 nano-meter 16Gb SLC NAND technology, which is typically one order of magnitude better reliability and 200%-500% faster than MLC NAND. Pretec 133X 4GB SD card is available now for customer sampling with unit price of $699 each; mass production is scheduled by next month.

Pretec C-Flash next generation super small flash memory card: Pretec Electronics, creator of the smallest USB flash drive in the world since 2002, is introducing today a new generation of flash memory card and module, C-Flash, at CeBIT 2005 in Hannover. With the physical size of 17mm x 12mm x 1.0mm, about 1/3 the volume of RS-MMC or miniSD, C-Flash is one of the smallest form factor flash memory cards in the world.
