Pentax Optio WPi review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-12-24 00:30:00
Pentax Optio WPi review : Quite soon after Pentax had introduced the first Optio WP camera, the Pentax Optio WPi was born. The Pentax WPi at first glance seems to be a compact digital camera for the day to day photography if it weren't for its ability of photographing underwater. This feature is still quite unique on current digital cameras; few manufacturers offer this enhanced creative possibility. When making the step in taking the Pentax Optio WPi as your companion underwater you can count on a functioning camera to a depth of 1.5 metres for a maximum time span of 30 minutes. If you do want to photograph underwater for a longer period of time and deeper than 1.5 metres you'd have to look for a separate underwater case.

Pentax 645 medium format

Mark Peters : 2005-11-14 10:58:13
Pentax 645 Digital: It was around March 2005 when we were informed about the new Pentax Digital medium format camera. At that time there was nothing more to report on than the fact that Pentax Corporation announced the first Pentax 645 Digital medium format camera at the Photo Imaging Expo (PIE), held in Tokyo (March 2005). The expectation was that in 2006 Pentax was ready to introduce a final product or at least a pre-production model almost close to a final unit, but so far nothing like this showed up at any event like IFA (Germany) or PhotoPlus (USA). We got a little bit more information about this new Pentax medium format camera, and it seems that around PMA 2006 we may see a more final version of the Pentax 645 Digital.

Pentax Optio 50L

Dennis Hissink : 2005-11-08 23:47:00
Pentax Optio 50L : Pentax introduces the new Pentax Optio 50L, a compact, lightweight digital camera that makes digital photography easy for virtually anyone. Incorporating a handy "Simple" mode, it allows the user to quickly choose an icon that matches the subject at hand and have the camera select all the optimal settings automatically for the best possible results. And to ensure easy use continues no matter where you go, the Pentax Optio 50L has also been designed to be powered by AA batteries. But to be worthy of the Pentax name, of course, ease of use is simply not enough. Indeed, the Pentax 50 offers the power and clarity of a 3X optical zoom lens with a focal length of 32 - 96mm (equiv 35mm format).
