Nikon Coolpix P1 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-12-12 01:04:00
Nikon P1 Wireless review : During the IFA event 2005 in Berlin I attended the press conference of Nikon Europe. In this conference Nikon introduced their first series of digital cameras with built-in Wi-Fi functionality. Nikon were not the first to announce a camera with Wi-Fi availability, but they were definitely the very first to deliver a camera with this function built-in the camera unlike Kodak did with the EasyShare-One; using a memory card with Wi-Fi functions. Nikon has obtained a lot of experience in the professional segment and by introducing the Nikon Coolpix P1 and P2 with built-in Wi-Fi functionality they take the first steps in the consumer market.

Nikon S3 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-11-28 00:10:11
Nikon S3 review : During the IFA 2005 press conference the Nikon Coolpix S3 was presented as the successor of the Coolpix S1 and S2, which were also introduced this year. Nikon continued with the same design, the reactions to it are extremely positive, so why change a successful concept? In addition, it offers the higher shooting performance of 6.0 effective Megapixels and features innovative Nikon functions that enable the user to improve images in-camera. The aluminum exterior makes the Coolpix S3 very attractive. The Nikon S3 camera is available in the colors: Ivory white, Matt black, and Platinum silver. We managed to get our hands on the latest Coolpix S-serie camera, the results can be found in the following Nikon S3 review.

Nikon P1 preview

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-11-14 23:35:00
Nikon P1 preview : At the IFA in Berlin Nikon held their press conference where a new range of Coolpix digital cameras was introduced. Among them the new Nikon Coolpix P1 digital camera. With the introduction of the Coolpix P1, Nikon introduces their first digital camera with Wi-Fi built-in. The Nikon Coolpix P1, together with its smaller brother the Coolpix P2, is the world's first digital camera with built-in wireless communication for the consumer market. Wait a minute, I can already imagine you thinking about the Kodak EasyShare-One camera… Well; it has wireless features, but not built-in. We have had a pre-production model of the Nikon Coolpix P1 for a short while in our office so we took some time to create a preview for you.

D200 preview

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-11-01 07:00:05
Nikon D200 preview : Among all product announcements occasionally there is a product that you definitely cannot wait to get your hands on. Today we are pleased to give you an exclusive preview of a very interesting new Nikon D-SLR, the Nikon D200. According to Nikon :"The Nikon D200 bridges the gap", and after having handled the new D200 D-SLR ourselves we can only confirm that statement. At this moment no other solution equals what the Nikon D200 is offering you when you look at quality, specifications and price for that matter. With the introduction of the D200 Nikon creates a new class of digital SLR camera between entry-level (D50 and D70s) and professional D-SLR cameras (D2Hs and D2x).

Nikon Coolpix S4 preview

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-10-28 22:22:22
Nikon Coolpix S4 preview : The Nikon Coolpix S4 is one of the Coolpix cameras Nikon introduced just before the IFA 2005 kicked off. The concept of the Nikon S4 is rather familiar. The adjustable lens is also found on the Coolpix 4500 and 995 digital cameras. At the time this already was a successful concept also because of the extensive possibilities these cameras had to offer. Despite the look-alike design of the Nikon Coolpix S4 compared with its predecessors, the target group seems to have changed. My estimation is that the target group has definitely grown because of the fact that the S4 camera is more of an entry-level model with attractive specifications than a versatile camera with emphasis on this versatility.

Nikon Coolpix S3 preview

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-10-11 22:40:00
Nikon S3 preview : Just before the IFA 2005 kicked off, Nikon introduced a new series of digital cameras. Amongst them the Nikon Coolpix S3. This stylishly designed digital camera is carried out in various colours. We have had the white version in the office for a few days. The sample we show extensively in this preview is however a so-called pre-production sample. The Nikon S3 digital camera has a beautiful exterior and the compact size makes the Coolpix S3 camera extremely suitable to be carried around with you wherever you go. The high resolution of 6 Megapixels, an internal optical Nikkor lens with a range of 35-105mm and the beautiful 2.5-inch format monitor, make the Nikon Coolpix S3 a surprisingly versatile digital camera.

Nikon D50 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-06-20 01:00:00
Nikon D50 digital camera review : Nikon definitely scored a bull's-eye with the Nikon D70 digital SLR camera. The D70 seemed to throw its biggest rival, the Canon EOS 300D, into the shade. The Canon however carried a more attractive price tag. So Nikon struck back with the introduction of the Nikon D50 digital reflex (D-SLR) last April. A digital reflex, which is more compact than the Nikon D70s, but still featuring many interesting specifications. At first glance the differences between the Nikon D70s and the D50 are small. The Nikon D50 has a somewhat slower image speed (2.5 frames per second compared with three images at the Nikon D70s), a slower maximum shutter speed and less settings for ISO values.

Nikon Coolpix S1 review

Mark Peters : 2005-05-20 01:00:00
Nikon Coolpix S1 digital camera review : Nikon introduced a small digital design camera in the first quarter of this year: the Nikon Coolpix S1. This model is completely newly developed and has a very classy appearance. The Nikon S1 is available in the colours Pure Silver and Ebony Black. The material used for the housing of the camera is aluminium and is beautifully finished. The new Nikon Coolpix S1 has a very compact size and is ultra flat with only 19.7 mm. Despite its slim body, the camera is equipped with a 3x optical zoom lens that doesn't extend, like we have seen on other thin digital cameras. This means we find an internal zoom lens with a 3x optical range on this Nikon digital camera.
