The new iPod features a large 2.5-inch color screen which can display album artwork and photos, and play stunning video including music videos, video Podcasts, home movies and television shows. The new Apple iPod Video holds up to 15,000 songs, 25,000 photos or over 150 hours of video and is available in a 30GB model for $299 and a 60GB model for $399, with both models available in stunning white or black designs. The new iPod plays music, audiobooks, audio Podcasts, video Podcasts, home movies, music videos and popular television shows like "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives."

Samsung D600 mobile phone : Samsung Electronics introduces new sleek slide-up phone ( Model name: SGH-D600) to the European market. This phone will be soon launched to other Southeast Asia , Middle East , and African markets.The D600 is the upgraded version of Samsung's bestseller D500 which has been sold more than 7 million units worldwide. This new model has been upgraded for a slimmer and more refined look and has adopted new high-tech function s such as 2 megapixel camera with flash and document-viewing capability. The body color has been also upgraded. To complement it's the gray-black frame, a tint of pure black and new textures have been added for an improved look and feel of the phone.

Texas Instruments mobile electronic components : Texas Instruments announced today a high-power, white LED power conversion chip for next-generation camera phones and PDAs. TI's TPS61059 single-cell white LED driver is optimized to safely and efficiently support up to 800 mA over the input voltage range of a single-cell Lithium-Ion battery. Based on 650 kHz pulse width modulation (PWM) controller, the device can achieve an 80% maximum efficiency. To further max battery life, the TPS61059 can be disabled and placed in a shutdown mode where the power is disconnected to the LED and current consumption reduced to less than 1 uA. Built-in pre-charge and soft-start circuitry prevents excessive current to build during start-up.

Sony Ericsson P990 : Sony Ericsson emphasized its continued commitment to Symbian OS with the announcement of its next generation smartphone to the global development community. The Sony Ericsson P990 will be the first commercially available smartphone to adopt the enhanced Symbian OS version 9.1 and UIQ 3 software platform. The P990 UMTS smartphone is Wi-Fi enabled, has a 2 Megapixel camera with autofocus and features a new hardware keyboard beneath the flip-down keypad. The Sony Ericsson UMTS P990 will start shipping during Q1 of 2006. The UMTS P990 is the next in a line of successful Sony Ericsson smartphones, the P800, P900 and P910, and is based on the same proven concept and recognizable form factor.

TNS study about future mobile devices : Over 75 percent of mobile phone and PDA users in the United States rate 'two-days of battery life during active use' as the most important feature of an ideal converged device of the future, according to a new study by TNS, a leading global provider of market information. This feature is considered more important to the respondents of only two other countries included in the study - Sweden and The Netherlands, indicating the value that American technology users place on battery life. The study, conducted among 15 countries during July and August 2005, was undertaken to uncover what would drive consumer demand for mobile devices in the future.
