Incorporating a complete smartphone feature set, as well as a 2 megapixel camera, flash and front camera for video calling, the Nokia N70 comes fully equipped with stereo FM radio, a digital music player and new 3D games. Measuring just 108.8 x 53 x 17.5 mm (95.9 cc), the Nokia N70 is the smallest ever 2 megapixel 3G smartphone based on the Series 60 Platform. Motorola first videophone call over satellite : Motorola and WorldGate today announced they conducted the first true-to-life videophone call over satellite broadband network connections, demonstrating that no distance is too great for the Motorola Ojo Personal Videophone to bridge. Motorola and WorldGate originated Ojo videophone calls from WorldGate's Philadelphia-area headquarters to a facility in Virginia Beach, ultimately beaming the calls to a commercially available VSAT satellite orbiting 22,500 miles above Earth and back-a round trip of 45,000 miles. Ojo performed flawlessly, connecting the parties, and enabling a true-to-life personal exchange with stunning picture quality and perfectly synchronized audio and video.

You can then capture these images using your phone just as you would a normal photo. Visitors to Sony Ericsson’s stand at CeBIT can be first to try the Bluetooth Motion Cam ROB-1 when it makes its debut at the exhibition. The Bluetooth Motion Cam ROB-1 will be available during Q3 2005.

The phones are expected to enhance the productivity of businesspeople who are constantly on the go, but need to view business-critical information, such as PDF files, at any time and any place. Data can be easily downloaded onto the phones in its original file format through a PC connection, similar to an external storage device. Microsoft Word and Excel files can be viewed, as well as PDF, JPG, and TXT files. The phones feature a 1.3 megapixel camera with a 16 million-color LCD.

HP Launches interactive online gallery called Mobile Moments : HP today announced it will be unveiling Mobile Moments, an online celebrity mobile phone photography exhibition in aid of Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres and HP digital villages. HP has asked leading photographers, artists and entertainment personalities to contribute their first mega-pixel mobile phone photograph to the exhibition. Each participant was asked to capture their own 'mobile moment' - a spontaneous image caught in the moment. The result is a thoughtful, imaginative and sometimes funny look at what makes celebrities tick. The images will be auctioned on eBay.com to raise funds for the chosen charities. Auction dates will be posted on the Mobile Moments website.

Initial guidelines for consumer printing of camera. The Mobile Imaging and Printing Consortium (MIPC), an industry group developing solutions and implementation guidelines for printing images captured with camera phones, announced their first set of guidelines for the mobile and printing industry. This first set of the MIPC Implementation Guidelines sets a common standard which all mobile and printer manufacturers can follow and implement into their products. The guidelines leverage existing connectivity technology standards and solutions, such as Bluetooth wireless technology, printing from memory cards and PictBridge. As a result, consumers can expect seamless interoperability between a broad base of mobile phones and printers.
