Kodak leads in US in four consumer digital photography segments : Continuing to demonstrate strong results against its digital strategy, Eastman Kodak Company now has the market lead in four major United States consumer digital photography segments: digital cameras, snapshot photo printers, retail photo kiosks, and online picture sharing sites. Market research firm IDC, in its full-year 2004 digital still camera study issued today, reports that Kodak's digital camera shipments give the company an industry leading 21.9-percent U.S. market share - the first time that Kodak has held this top position. Kodak was also the fastest growing brand among market leaders, with a 66-percent year-over-year increase.

Kodak employees worldwide have acted to provide support to survivors and recovery efforts in regions devastated by the recent earthquake and tsunami in Southeast Asia, making financial contributions to relief organizations. To reinforce their efforts, Eastman Kodak Company announced contributions of approximately $1.5 million in cash, services, and materials. Kodak digital imaging technologies will be employed in diagnostic services for injured survivors, and to help families attempt to locate missing loved ones from the December 26 disaster. Worldwide, Kodak's disaster relief support include a $1,000,000 corporate donation from Kodak to the American Red Cross' International Response Fund.

Eastman Kodak Company's continued innovation in the digital imaging industry secured top honors during the opening of the 2005 International Consumer Electronics Show, where the company won multiple high-profile awards for its consumer digital imaging products. The Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock Plus, Kodak EasyShare DX7590 zoom digital camera, and the Kodak Picture Maker G3 Digital Print Station all garnered Innovations 2005 Design and Engineering Awards. The Innovations 2005 Design and Engineering Awards, sponsored by Consumer Electronics Association and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America, honor superior design and engineering among the year's most technologically advanced products.
