Kodak Image Link system introduction : Adding to its award-winning line of EasyShare printer docks, Kodak recently announced the first model to support the Imagelink print system, making possible one-touch printing from multiple brands of digital cameras. The new Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock Series 3 is now available worldwide, packaged with new Kodak EasyShare Z740 and Kodak EasyShare Z700 zoom digital cameras (which are also compatible with the Imagelink system). The Printer Dock Series 3 will also ship as a standalone product beginning in May 2005 (RRP £129.99). Designed to simplify at-home picture printing, the Imagelink system was recently introduced by a group of the world’s largest consumer digital photography companies.

Kodak rises to nr.3 in global digital camera sales : Eastman Kodak, the world's largest photography company, rose to third place in global digital camera sales last year, surpassing Olympus, according to a report by IDC, a market data company. Worldwide shipments of digital cameras reached 74 million units in 2004, said IDC in her report. Rochester, New York- based Kodak, which last year surged past Sony Corp. as the top seller in the U.S., had an 11.8 percent global market share. Chief Executive Officer Daniel Carp is transforming Kodak into a digital-imaging company as sales of film decline. He announced in Sept. 2003 that Kodak would concentrate on digital imaging for consumers, health-care professionals and commercial printers.

The grants, which have a total value of over $200,000, are made possible through Kodak's partnership with the National Park Foundation as a "Proud Partner of America's National Parks." The purpose of the donation is to help the National Parks harness the power of pictures to better connect people to their National Parks and thus enrich the experience of the millions of people who visit the parks each year. Through the National Park Foundation, the nation's National Parks were encouraged to apply to the Foundation, on a competitive basis, for the Kodak equipment grants.

Kodak employees and company help Tsunami survivors

Kodak employees worldwide have acted to provide support to survivors and recovery efforts in regions devastated by the recent earthquake and tsunami in Southeast Asia, making financial contributions to relief organizations. Kodak adds WiFi support to EasyShare printer dock

Helping people share their pictures from any room in their house, Kodak introduced WiFi support for its EasyShare printer dock plus snapshot printer. The Kodak WiFi card will be available this June. After inserting the WiFi (802.11b) card into the Printer Dock Plus, pictures from a docked EasyShare digital camera can be transferred wirelessly to a computer on the home network for immediate viewing, sharing and printing. In addition, the Printer Dock Plus can then act as a wireless picture printer for WiFi-enabled devices such as desktops, laptops, and even the new Kodak EasyShare-One digital camera. Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) announced its latest digital media processing technology is incorporated in the first-of-its-kind Kodak EasyShare One zoom digital camera. As the first camera to utilize Kodak’s newest Color Science image processor, based on TI’s semiconductor technology running Kodak’s algorithms, the EasyShare One camera features storage of up to 1,500 pictures, in-camera editing, WiFi e-mailing and sharing, and picture printing without using a computer. The camera also features television-quality video with audio at 30 frames-per-second.
