Kodak EasyShare V550 digital camera review : Now that Kodak stopped manufacturing digital SLR cameras, the entire series of digital cameras consists of EasyShare digital camera models. EasyShare does exactly what the name tells you: easy sharing of pictures. Core of the system is the docking station. You place the camera in the station and pushing the button once sends your photos to email, hard drive or printer. It works as simple as it sounds. Within the EasyShare series, Kodak distinguishes some series, depending on the target group. The top model of the pocket series is the Kodak EasyShare V550. We got the change to test the Kodak digital camera in practise, and our experiences can be found in the following review.

Kodak will demonstrate ways to help customers grow their businesses and streamline operations, with technology ranging from digital capture, workflow and proofing to advanced digital printing, offset and hybrid equipment, in booth #6707 at the Print 05 exhibition, which kicks off tomorrow and runs until September 15. Kodak Wi-Fi introduction : Kodak Company announced today that its innovative EasyShare-One zoom digital camera would be available for purchase this October, coinciding with the beginning of the holiday shopping season. Since it was announced earlier this year, the Kodak EasyShare One model has won hundreds of accolades from industry organizations and consumer electronics writers for its groundbreaking design and functionality, making it one of the most talked about digital photography products in years. At launch, the Kodak One will be compatible with most in-home and public WiFi networks that support 802.11b technology, with the option to enable 64- and 128-bit WEP security.

Kodak manufacturing reductions in USA and China : Eastman Kodak Company announced actions to consolidate its manufacturing operations as part of its ongoing program to rapidly adjust to the accelerating decline in demand for film and photographic paper. Pursuant to a restructuring program and consistent with marketplace demand, current actions include: Consolidate color photographic paper manufacturing for USA at plants in Windsor and Harrow, England, resulting in the closure of an operation in Rochester by the end of October. Close by year-end an operation in Rochester that recycles polyester waste and part of an operation that processes polyester raw material in the manufacturing of Estar polyester film base.

Kodak EasyShare digital cameras ranked highest : Solidifying its reputation for quality and ease of use among consumers, Eastman Kodak Company today again captured the highest rankings in two of the four segments in the J.D. Power and Associates 2005 Digital Camera Satisfaction Study. In the second annual consumer study evaluating digital camera performance, connectivity, cost and appearance, Kodak EasyShare digital still cameras ranked highest in customer satisfaction in two price categories: $200-399 and $199 or less. This is the second year in a row that Kodak has captured the coveted $200-399 price segment. Digital cameras in these two segments comprise more than 85 percent of the U.S. market, according to NPD Techworld.

OLED Technology licensed to Orion Korea : Eastman Kodak Company is licensing its organic light emitting diode (OLED) display technology to Orion OLED Co., Ltd. of Korea. This brings to more than 15 the number of display manufacturers licensing Kodak's passive matrix organic display technology. "We believe OLED display's brightness and readability will add value to the products we make," said Jae Hwal Yoo, chief executive officer of Orion OLED. "Kodak's experience and leadership in OLED materials and displays were important considerations in our decision to license its technology." Orion OLED manufactures OLED panels and module displays for a variety of consumer products, including digital cameras, cellular phones and MP3 players.

Morris was formerly a senior executive at Intel Corporation and is widely respected for her strong strategic vision and operating skills. Kodak new image sensors for digital cameras : Eastman Kodak Company reached another milestone in its digital growth strategy with the announcement of innovative new image sensors for mass-market products such as camera phones and digital still cameras. The company also announced important new alliances that will extend its reach in the market for image sensors. The company announced availability of the first CMOS image sensor (CIS) devices to arise from its manufacturing alliance with IBM, as well as development of a reference design that incorporates these new image sensors with multimedia processors from Texas Instruments Incorporated. Kodak also announced an agreement to license key CIS manufacturing technologies to TSMC.
