Kodak uses Kopin electronic viewfinder : Kopin Corporation the largest U.S. manufacturer of microdisplays, today announced that Eastman Kodak Company is incorporating Kopin's CyberEVF(R) 230K viewfinders into its new Kodak Easyshare P-Series cameras. Designed for avid photographers, these digital cameras combine high performance with simplicity of operation and sophisticated photographic controls. The Easyshare P880 has 8.0 megapixels and a 5.8x optical zoom wide-angle lens. The Easyshare P850 has 5.1 megapixels and a 12x optical zoom image-stabilized lens. Kodak EasyShare One camera shipment delayed : Eastman Kodak Co. said it will delay shipment of its Kodak EasyShare One digital camera to October, rather than starting sales next month as planned. The camera, which features a large liquid-crystal-display screen and a unique capability of wirelessly transmitting pictures to WiFi local area networks, was introduced in January at the Consumer Electronics Show where it won some awards for innovation. A Kodak spokesman declined to specify issues that led to the delay. He said: "This represents a significant technological advance in the digital camera marketplace. We're taking the time to do it right."

The first-of-its-kind Kodak EasyShare-One digital camera, created as much for sharing pictures as taking them, secured both the CNET Next Big Thing and the G4techTV Best of CES Awards. These are considered the ultimate honors at the world's largest consumer electronics exhibition, where more than 1,500 companies launch and display tens of thousands of cutting-edge products and services. The CNET Next Big Thing Award recognizes the most promising new products announced at the CES.
