Big Christmas card delivered to the Queen of England : The Queen of England has received the largest Christmas card ever to be sent to the Royal family. The huge 9ft x 5ft card was hand-delivered to Buckingham Palace by a group of young children from NCH, the children’s charity. The Big Christmas card was received by Palace footmen on behalf of the Royal family. The giant Christmas card contains festive digital photos from thousands of British people across the country, and also features goodwill messages from Britons to the Royal family. Photo expert HP spent the last two months collecting the photos and messages as part of their “Colourful Christmas” charity fundraising effort for NCH, the Children’s Charity.

HP acquired Pixaco online photo service : HP today announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire bilderservice.de GmbH, which operates Pixaco - a leading online photo services and products site in Europe. The acquisition of the privately-held company will enable HP to rapidly extend the reach of its online photo services throughout Europe, building on the purchase of Snapfish earlier this year. HP plans to extend many of its Snapfish capabilities to the Pixaco service - bringing European customers greater choices for printing, sharing and storing their photos. Today, Snapfish has 20 million registered users in the United States and United Kingdom and is adding up to 1 million new users every month.

HP Snapfish powers Publix Online Photo Service : HP's Snapfish today announced that it is powering a new online photo service for Publix, one of the largest volume U.S. supermarkets. The new Online Photo service, available at the Publix website. Publix customers to upload digital photos from your digital camera to the site for free online photo sharing and editing, unlimited online storage and wireless imaging services. Additionally, Publix customers can order professionally developed digital camera prints for as low as 10 cents each, film developing for $2.99 per roll and more than 90 photo products, including calendars, mugs and mouse pads. The first 20 prints are free for new users to both Publix and Snapfish.

HP Intellectual Ink Cartridge Technology protected : HP, technology solutions provider to consumers and businesses globally, notified Cartridge World North America that it has discovered infringements of an HP ink patent in inks sold by multiple Cartridge World franchisees. The infringements were discovered as part of ongoing worldwide testing and enforcement efforts within HP's Imaging and Printing Group in order to protect its intellectual property rights. In March 2005, the same initiative also uncovered ink patent infringements in certain InkCycle cartridges sold under the Staples brand. HP and InkCycle quickly resolved the matter after InkCycle changed its ink formulations.
