Fuji Photo Film launches Halloween pandamonium : Fuji Photo Film today announced "Fujifilm Halloween Pandamonium" a national sweepstakes campaign being launched in conjunction with popular family events hosted by zoos across the country where Fujifilm will have a key presence this Halloween season. Fujifilm Halloween Pandamonium events will take place at the following zoos: the Bronx and Central Park Zoos in New York City; Brookfield Zoo in Chicago; Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden; Detroit Zoological Park; Denver Zoological Gardens; Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens; Memphis Zoo; Smithsonian's National Zoo in Washington, D.C.; Oregon Zoo in Portland; and the San Francisco Zoological Gardens.

Fujifilm GetPix Dropbox for photo prints : Fujifilm introduced the GetPix Digital Dropbox, offering consumers an affordable way to get digital photo prints at retail locations. Wal-Mart and SAM’S CLUB locations are the first retailers to offer this 2-day off-site printing. The Digital Dropbox is the industry’s first free-standing unit that combines a traditional film drop box, with a digital order terminal. Consumers can drop off their film in an envelope or simply insert their digital media into the terminal, enter their name and phone number, choose print size and quantity, remove their media, take their receipt, and go. By November, all 3,400 Wal-Mart and SAM’S CLUB locations will offer Fujifilm’s Digital Dropbox solution.

Fujifilm researches camera phone printing : Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. today released findings from a camera phone behavior study completed by NPD Techworld, a division of the NPD Group, Inc., revealing that 44.6% of participants said they have taken pictures with their camera phone that they wished they had printed. The most commonly noted reasons for not printing these images included image quality, simplicity of process and overall perceived cost. The study, based on a survey of more than 400 U.S. camera phone owners, points to a significant opportunity for retailers to capitalize on the printing potential from accelerating adoption rates of camera phones and the growth in mobile imaging.

Fujifilm names Drysdale head of Electronic Imaging : Fujifilm has announced the appointment of Bill Drysdale to Vice President of the Electronic Imaging Products Division, formerly the Digital Devices Division. Drysdale is responsible for the Planning, Marketing and Sales of Fujifilm?s digital cameras and digital accessories in the US market. Drysdale joined Fujifilm in 1988 as a Product Manager in what is now the company's Recording Media Division. He has held various sales, marketing and product management positions in that Division, rising to Vice President, Sales, where he managed all Division sales activities, concentrating on sales of consumer products within the Electronics, Music retail, Photo Specialty and E-Commerce.

Fujifilm UNICEF Photography contest winners : The winner from South Africa was 14 year-old Vincent Sidanga from the Ludaka School in Eastern Cape. With this, Vincent Sidanga wins a trip to Germany and will take part in the awards show on the 30th of August. The winner of the first-prize from Germany was 11 year-old Angelina Strehl from the special needs school for learning development in Aschaffenburg. Both children can get to know each other at the awards show and carry on the exchange won with the competition. The photo gallery of the winning pictures with their highly interesting insight into the everyday life at school for children and teenagers in both countries will be available until the end of August at www.fujifilm.de.
