Jasper Huitink : 2005-09-10 12:32:00
Nikon Equipment Used on Space Shuttle Discovery : Space Shuttle Discovery returned safely to earth. Throughout the journey, the Japanese media published scenes of Japanese Astronaut Soichi Noguchi in action; his spacewalk astounded everyone, and was only the second Extra Vehicular Activity (EVA) performed by a Japanese astronaut. Noguchi and fellow mission specialist Stephen Robinson conducted essential check and repair activities on the orbiter and performed maintenance on the International Space Station. In addition, the pair successfully removed two strips of protruding filler from the heatshield on the orbiter's belly, an operation unprecedented in the Shuttle program.

Metz Mecablitz 54 MZ-4i Flash

Jasper Huitink : 2005-09-05 15:33:55
Metz Mecablitz 54 MZ-4i Flash : Metz was also present at the IFA 2005 event. Although mainly focused on television applications and devices I found a new flash made especially for Nikon digital SLR cameras. Perfect flash photography with Nikon digital cameras is the strength of the powerful Metz Mecablitz 54 MZ-4i. The integration of high-precision flash modes guarantees uniform exposures with brilliant, yet highly differentiated colour rendering. Depending on the camera model, you can select the D-TTL, 3D/D-TTL or 3D multi-sensor fill-in modes, as well as i-TTL or i-TTL BL flash control. Furthermore, the Metz Mecablitz 54 MZ-4i can be used with system cameras from other manufacturers merely by exchanging the corresponding adapter.
