Photokina program : Every two years, Photokina, the world’s leading trade fair for imaging technology and image communication, offers visitors an insight into the sector’s most innovative new products and trends. 2006 International CES displays mobile electronics : The latest in automotive technology including car audio and video, navigation systems, satellite radio, security and telematics will be on display at the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow, January 5-8, 2006, in Las Vegas, Nevada. "With more than 300 mobile electronics exhibitors, the International CES is the world's largest showcase for in-car technologies," said Karen Chupka, vice president of events and conferences at the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the producer of the International CES. The majority of mobile electronics exhibitors are located in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

CeBIT 2006 without Sony : According to Manfred Gerdes, director Sony Germany, Japanese electronics giants Sony will not attend the CeBIT 2006, the world's biggest technology fair held annually in Hanover, Germany in 2006. "The CeBIT 2006 is not the right platform for us," Manfred Gerdes told the German newspaper Die Welt. He hinted that the CeBIT fair, which takes place every March, was out of step with the fast-moving world of technology and electronics. "In order to present new consumer products, we should really take part in a fair every three months for technology information products and every six months for electronic entertainment products."
