Casio celebrates 10 years digital photography : This year Casio is celebrating a special anniversary at the IFA, the International Radio and Television Exhibition in Berlin, it was ten years ago that the Japanese corporation launched the first digital camera for consumers, the QV-10, on to the market. The complicated technology was reduced in size for the first time in such a way that it fitted in a camera body. A piece of pioneering for the company, which smoothed the way into a new market: the market of digital photography. While the QV-10 enthused in 1995 with a storage capacity of 96 photos and a resolution of 320×240 pixels, we calculate nowadays in very different dimensions.

Casio signs Product License Agreement with FIFA for the 2006
Casio has concluded a Product License Agreement with the world football governing body FIFA concerning the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany, which will start on June 9, 2006. This Agreement grants Casio an exclusive worldwide license to sell watches and clocks bearing the Official Marks of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany and FIFA Brand. Casio plans to release watches with the Official Emblem of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany, FIFA Brand Licensee Emblem and images of FIFA World Cup Trophy, expanding the product line-up as the event approaches. The FIFA World Cup is one of the world's biggest sporting events.
