Amateur Photo Contest at 2007 Canon Envirothon

Ilse Jurriën : 2005-11-21 02:58:00
Amateur Photo Contest at 2007 Canon Envirothon : The Canon Envirothon is North America's largest high school environmental education competition. Teams battle for recognition and scholarships by demonstrating their knowledge of natural resources. They apply their training and problem-solving skills in five subject areas - soils, aquatics, forestry, wildlife, and a current environmental issue that changes each year. USA and Canadian student teams begin forming at the regional level, winners move on to the state/provincial event, and finally in late July, students participate in the Canon Envirothon, which is hosted by a different state or province each year. Any amateur photographer of any age can participate.

Win a Canon EOS 350D with The Shot of UEFA

Mark Peters : 2005-03-20 23:45:00
Win a Canon EOS 350D with The Shot of UEFA : Canon is pleased to announce the launch of The Shot, an interactive photo competition hosted on the official website of UEFA. The original competition during UEFA EURO 2004 attracted over 1.3 million visitors and we expect this updated version to be even more popular. Available now, the website will be updated after each UEFA Champions League match day with the very best images captured at each game by Getty Images, the world’s leading professional sports photographers. Football and photography fans can vote on the picture they think is best; these votes will be recorded throughout the knockout stages of the competition to identify The Shot of the competition after the Final in May.
