Adobe Photographers Directory introduction : Adobe Systems Incorporated announced its plans to launch the Adobe Photographers Directory, a listing of professional photographers accessible directly from within Adobe's creative professional products. The Adobe Photographers Directory will be initially available in North America and over time will be extended to include photographers from other markets. Adobe will be working closely with the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) to populate the new directory. As charter members of the directory, ASMP also launched a Web site today detailing how photographers can sign up to participate at www.asmp.org/adobe.

Adobe Photoshop CS2 software introduction : According to some publications on the Internet, like DPhoto.us Adobe will announce Adobe Photoshop CS2, a major upgrade to Photoshop CS digital image editing software. The new Photoshop CS2 will be available as a stand-alone software application or as a key component of Adobe Creative Suite 2, that also will be announced this week. Photoshop CS2 software brings a new level of power, precision and control to the digital photography experience and to the overall creative process. Photoshop CS2 software integrates a new set of intuitive tools, including an enhanced Spot Healing Brush, for handling common photographic problems such as blemishes, red-eye, noise, blurring and lens distortion.

Hasselblad and Leica support Adobe DNG file format : Adobe Systems Incorporated announced that Hasselblad and Leica Camera AG are among the first camera manufacturers to commit to support Adobe DNG (Digital Negative Specification). Hasselblad will work to allow export to the Adobe DNG file format and Leica plans to include native support within their new digital camera models. Just a few months after Adobe announced the free Adobe DNG Converter, which translates all Photoshop supported raw photo formats into the new universal DNG file format, Hasselblad and Leica, along with respected software companies Phase One, DxO Labs, Extensis Portfolio and iView, have rallied around this single unified file format for archiving raw files.
