Michael Grefkes Marketing Manager at Fujifilm : Michael Grefkes (41) was appointed Marketing Manager at Fuji Photo Film (Europe) GmbH in Düsseldorf with effect from December 1. Here he is responsible for all national-level marketing in the Consumer Products area.This area includes products for both digital and analog photography: cameras, storage cards, film, paper and minilabs. At Fujifilm, the Consumer Products area accounts for approximately 70% of all revenues. Grefkes was previously Channel Manager at Sony Deutschland GmbH, where his responsibilities included developing the photo dealership distribution channel. Prior to this, he held other responsible sales and marketing positions at Sony and 3M.

Fujifilm Germany logo introduction : From now on, the packaging of all digital cameras supplied by Fujifilm Germany will have a new logo reading "Deutsche Original-Version". This is printed on an easily visible part of the box and shows you are buying a German original. The logo also tells the customer that the camera comes from a German warehouse and has been subjected to a further quality check there. All important papers such as German- language manual, software and guarantee card are enclosed. Dealers who display product images with the logo clearly show that they are offering products which have been subjected to quality checks in a German dispatch warehouse and that all important documents are enclosed.


SanDisk announces company name in Chinese

SanDisk introduced the Chinese version of the company name whose Chinese characters "SHENG DIE" translate to "Disk bright as the sun." The name is designed to help maximize the opportunity for the SanDisk brand to reach more than a billion consumers and potential customers across China. China is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing markets for information technology and is a priority market for SanDisk. The company made the announcement at a press conference it held at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai Hotel. "The Chinese visual identity for SanDisk enhances the value of the SanDisk brand in this region," said Nelson Chan, executive vice president and general manager of the consumer and handset business at SanDisk.
