A new FotoStation developed for Mac OS X

Mark Peters : 2004-11-02 05:27:24
It is not everyday that we launch a new FotoStation, and we are very pleased to offer our new and existing customers the new FotoStation Classic! The program is designed for Windows XP and Apple OS X operating systems. It will use all the new features of each of the two different systems, and we are sure that the Mac users will appreciate an application written to run only on OS X, and use all the sophisticated features on this platform. "We had a very strong commitment to deliver a true OS X version to the Apple environment", says FotoWare’s CEO O.C. Frenning. "Many software developers have used their old code and made it run on the new OS X, but we started off only with our experience, and wrote a completely new application."

Adobe supports new Digital Negative Specification

Mark Peters : 2004-10-11 05:29:06
Adobe Systems Incorporated announced an update to the Camera Raw Plug-in, extending raw file support in Photoshop CS to more than 65 digital camera models and enabling Photoshop CS to handle files in the new .DNG format, also announced today (see separate release). Available as a free download from Adobe's Web site, the plug-in builds on the raw file functionality already available in Photoshop CS, adding new support for the latest digital cameras from leading manufacturers, such as Canon, Epson, Fujifilm, and Nikon. Raw files, which contain the original information captured by a camera sensor prior to any in-camera processing, have become popular in recent years, due to their promise of greater flexibility and image quality.

ImageRecall announces ImageRecall 3.0

Mark Peters : 2004-10-07 04:44:18
Today's digital cameras make it very convenient for users to take pictures without worrying about the cost of wasting film. However, most of these cameras make it just as easy to accidentally lose those pictures. There is no way to undo "delete all" on most cameras. Downloading images to a PC is fraught with danger, as well. To help camera users combat these risks, ImageRecall announces ImageRecall 3.0 (IR3) can now recover all image types including all RAW formats. With its new file correction systems, ImageRecall also has the ability to recover and rebuild photographs when corruption occurs. IR3 supports all memory cards and is able to mount recoveries from cards that even Windows is unable to access.
