Samsung today unveiled its latest digital camcorders models, including its first 2.11 Megapixel CCD digital camcorder VP-D907i, the 1 Megapixel digital camcorder VP-D903i and the eye-catching 2-in-1 DuoCam VP-D6050i. The new series of Samsung DV camcorders feature enhanced digital video shooting functionalities, which make them the perfect digital mates for Christmas, allowing users to enjoy video recording anytime, anywhere. VP-D907i is Samsung's first 2.11 Megapixel digital camcorder, offering the best image quality. The new DV camcorder features a 1/3.6", 2.11 Megapixel CCD sensor. The model has 10x optical zoom and up to 900x digital zoom ratio. VP-D907i's 4.1-41 mm focal length enables users to capture long distance scenes.

The new series of Samsung DV Camcorders feature a slim and compact form, which together with their simple operating functions and other innovative functionalities, makes them the perfect digital mate for summer, allowing people to enjoy video recording anytime, anywhere. The diminutive dimensions of the Samsung VP-D323i and 325i, with a weight of only 390g, make for an ultra-compact design that is highly portable and perfect for outdoor video shooting. The Samsung VP-D303i and 305i weigh only 450g and come with a powerful 20x optical zoom lens in a compact case.

We already have seen this new product during our CeBIT 2004 visit, but we did not mention the new DuoCam in our CeBIT 2004 report. It is an interesting combination of video and high resolution photo in one. Samsung Electronics continues its leadership in digital convergence innovation with the second-generation DuoCam VP-D6050i, which combines the best technology from DSC (digital still photography) and Mini-DV (digital video). The new DuoCam VP-D6050i improves on the swivel lens design by incorporating dedicated DV and DSC lenses in one body. The new design offers a more compact package, similar in size to other Mini DV camcorders, but packs all the features consumers have come to expect from individual DV camcorders and DSCs.
