In the two years since the announcement and demonstration of Printpix products at Photokina 2002, photo retailers throughout the world have shown enthusiastic support for these innovative products as ideal solutions for digital camera print services as well as a cost effective ID photo services. Responding to expanding market needs, Fujifilm is introducing new Printpix products. Digital Photo Center + Printpix Digital Photo Printer NC-400D, NC-471D By adding connectivity to Printpix Digital Photo Printer NC-400D or NC-471D, the Digital Photo Center in-store kiosk now has the ability to output regular prints as well as sticker prints from digital cameras.


Fujifilm Digital Mobile Printer MP-100 introduced

Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. is proud to announce the Digital Mobile Printer MP-100, a wireless mobile printer for use with camera-phones. Using infrared transmission, MP-100 enables users to get real photos from their camera-phones anytime, anywhere. The MP-100 is expected to be commercially available in this autumn. Worldwide unit sales of camera-phones are expected to reach nearly 150 million in 2004, or just over a quarter of all mobile-phone sales (source: Info Trends Research Group). With the rapid expansion of the camera-phone market and the introduction of high-spec models with image resolution of 1 Megapixel or higher, demand has been increasing for printing of pictures taken with camera-phones.

Lexmark introduces two new Home Photo printers

Lexmark International, Inc. introduced two products that dramatically change the at-home photo printing experience. The result of exhaustive research, focus groups and user testing, every aspect - from innovative industrial design and enhanced performance to unique, value-added bonus features - will simplify the digital photo printing process for busy families. Kristy Holch, a Group Director at InfoTrends/CAP Ventures observed, "Consumer photo printing has not quite kept pace with the proliferation of digital cameras. Consumer comments reveal the causes, such as too many steps in the printing process and lack of time." Both printers are persuasive alternatives to products from other printer manufacturers.


New Canon PIXMA iP8500 professional A4 printer

Canon introduces iP4000 printer

Canon, a leader in photographic and imaging technology, today brings built-in-wireless connectivity to its PIXMA range with the launch of the PIXMA iP4000R. Based on the 5-ink 25 ppm iP4000 personal photo and document printer, the iP4000R integrates WiFi (IEEE802.11g) print server technology for wireless networking, ready to run on either Windows or Mac platforms. Launched last month, Canon's PIXMA sub-brand now includes fourteen new printers and multifunctionals.
