PhotographyBlog: review of Fujifilm FinePix S5000

Dennis Hissink : 2004-06-21 00:01:00
Our English friend Mark Goldstein from the website PhotographyBlog has reviewed the Fujifilm FinePix S5000 digital camera. This high specification, compact and affordable digital camera with an awesome 10x optical zoom Fujinon lens has satisfied a lot of ambitious photography enthusiasts enabling them to capture close-up, and distant subjects. Unlike the multitude of silver, bodied compacts on the market, the designers of this camera did not focus their thoughts on the interior of a handbag or shirt pocket when they conceived the FinePix S5000. In addition to the large zoom lens, the FinePix S5000 also features Fujifilm's Super CCD HR technology. The FinePix S5000 looks like an SLR, but weighs the same as a compact camera.

PhotographyBlog: review Fujifilm FinePix S7000

Dennis Hissink : 2004-04-16 06:49:45
Our friend Mark Goldstein from the very active website PhotographyBlog has laid his hands on the FinePix S7000 camera. This high resolution model builds on the success of the FinePix S602 Zoom camera. It is equipped with all features of the S602 Zoom, including full manual control and 6x optical zoom, but adds the 4th generation Super CCD HR technology. With this sensor technology the FinePix S7000 produces an exceptional 6 million effective pixel (12 million recorded pixel) output. Even before Fujifilm's Super CCD signal processing technology takes control of the image, photographs taken with this camera will possess a class-leading 6 million pixels. After the Super CCD HR has processed the file, the image output is 12 million pixels.

PhotographyBlog: review Ricoh Caplio G4

Mark Peters : 2004-02-03 04:53:08
Mark Goldstein, owner of the weblog about Photography, has published his review of the Ricoh Caplio G4. This Ricoh camera was announced last year around August and was one of the first digital cameras with a very responsive shutter time. Beside being impressive with shutter response time, the G4 has a very fast start-up time of 1.9 seconds. The Caplio G4 has a CCD with 3.24 Megapixels resolution and looks like the Ricoh Caplio G3 camera, but the G4 is roughly 10% smaller than its predecessor, and about 10 grams lighter. The difference comes down mostly to the removal of the microphone. The edge of the camera to the left of the lens has been trimmed a centimeter or so in the process, and the Ricoh logo moved under the flash instead.
