With the new Olympus e-magazine, Olympus intensifies direct communication with its customers. The high quality photo magazine from the opto-digital specialist is aimed at all Olympus E-System photographers and will be sent exclusively to participants in the three membership programmes for the digital SLR system. This new publication features an attractive mix of subjects dealing with the Olympus E-System and provides news from the world of photography plus a wealth of striking photos. The 28-page magazine has been published for Olympus Europa GmbH by Haymarket Customer Publishing in London, Great Britain. It appears four times a year in English, Czech, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

The Digital Imaging Websites Association (DIWA), a new industry organisation that seeks out the best in imaging products, has awarded a gold medal to the Olympus E-1 in the category 'Professional System Digital Camera'. DIWA also decided to create a supplementary Innovation Award to recognise the Olympus E-System. The organisation encompasses a growing group of independent web-based specialist publications currently covering several European countries and the USA. It harnesses the collective talent and expertise of its members, resulting in industry awards that command unparalleled confidence, both for consumers and the industry. The ceremony took place during the CeBIT 2004 event held in Hannover, Germany.
