Olympus' introduction of the Mju 410 Digital

Timeless design and first class performances made the Olympus Mju series to the world's best selling line of cameras ever. Since the introduction of the first 35mm camera in 1991, almost 26 million pieces are sold of analogue and digital models from this camera family. Anticipating with the fast spreading of digital camera technologies, Olympus is now introducing the successors of the two Mju Digital models that appeared on the market in 2003. The Mju 410 Digital features the same smooth elegant lines and weather resistant (weather resistant according the IEC-standard 529 IPX4) metal body, but distinguishes itself at the same time by a new look and an important technical innovation: TruePic Turbo.


New Olympus Camedia C-725 Ultra Zoom

Wow, Olympus is introducing new models on and on. This time we are looking at the CAMEDIA C-725 Ultra Zoom. This new model delivers 8x zoom power plus a wealth of photo features at a price to tempt even very cost-conscious users. It is therefore the ideal model for newcomers to the exciting world of Ultra Zoom photography. The new C-725UZ is compact and lightweight model and very easy to use. The 8x optical zoom provides a focal length that is equivalent to 40-320mm in a 35mm camera. The built-in Portrait, Sport and Night Scene programs makes it possible to switch between the settings to suit the subject or situation. For example, activating Night Scene mode, stunning pictures of a city after dusk are just a matter of pressing the button.


New Olympus C-765UZ camera introduction

In January at the CES show Olympus announced the C-760UZ camera. Today, during the PMA event in Las Vegas, Olympus presents a little brother or sister if you like; the new CAMEDIA C765 Ultra Zoom camera. Designed for sporting events, travel, nature hikes or any occasion when a more detailed view is important, the new CAMEDIA C-765UZ is the smallest digital camera in the world featuring an optical 10x zoom (as of January 2004). Thanks to its light weight and easy handling, this camera gives the user the flexibility needed to capture the spontaneous details of distant subjects. Using the cameras' movie recording function with sound, the user can also capture the sound that could be so typical of a particular subject.


PMA introduction: Olympus CAMEDIA C-770 Movie

The Olympus PMA introductions continuous! The new model Olympus is introducing has real MPEG4 with sound on board. The 4 million pixel digital still camera Olympus CAMEDIA C-770 Movie is not only equipped with a powerful 10x optical zoom, it can also records full-screen quality MPEG4 movies with sound. This new feature allows television screen presentations and gives the user a perfect combination of both digital still camera and camcorder. The new C-770 Movie records a full-screen movie with a rate of 30 frames per second in MPEG 4 quality. The new flagship in the Olympus Ultra Zoom range features a bright (f2.8 – 3.7) 10x optical zoom lens which comprises eleven elements arranged in seven groups.


Olympus unveils Camedia C-760 Ultra Zoom camera

The CES event in Las Vegas has just started and we already kick off with one of the first camera introductions we will see during these days. Olympus designed an ultra small compact digital camera with an ultra zoom, the Camedia C-760 Ultra Zoom. In fact this is the world's smallest digital camera featuring a 10x optical zoom. Beside being ultra small the new C-760 has some pretty nice features on board; 3.2 Megapixels, Super Macro of 3cm, bright 10x optical zoom that includes two aspherical lenses plus an ED element, video with sound, USB 2.0 interface and only 280 grams of weight.
