Mark Peters : 2004-03-18 09:00:00
With its CAMEDIA C-60 ZOOM, Olympus sets out to seduce design-conscious users who expect versatility to achieve exactly the results they want. The company has already shown how this very demanding target group can be won over with its C-50 ZOOM launched about a year and a half ago. Even today, interest in the camera remains particularly high. That is why this range is now being expanded with the six million pixel C-60 ZOOM, which is destined to make a big impact in the market. Firstly, it has the look. The compact, metal body of brushed aluminium and classic design are sure to turn heads. Secondly, the camera also offers the technical refinement needed to pursue almost every creative impulse.

Dennis Hissink : 2004-02-27 19:13:23
With the very bright telephoto lens, ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 150mm F2.0, (35mm camera equivalent: 300mm) Olympus again extends the range of lenses for the Olympus E-System. Full compatibility with the TIPA Award-winning Four Thirds standard means this lens boasts a compact form for great portability and handling plus a large aperture. Its telephoto performance is coupled with high light-gathering power, making it ideal for capturing nature and sporting action. The F2.0 aperture also lets the user bring a shallow depth of field to the composition, allowing subjects to be beautifully framed by blurring the background. Optical precision is exceptional, ensuring very sharp and high-contrast images.

Dennis Hissink : 2004-02-26 02:15:28
On top of all introductions Olympus has made during the first day of the PMA in Las Vegas we can now introduce to you a top model, CAMEDIA C-8080 WIDE ZOOM. This 8 million pixel digital camera, protected by a magnesium alloy body, features a 5x wide zoom lens, a specially designed Sunshine LCD and a short release time lag. Over the years, CCD resolutions have shot up, lenses have been greatly improved and the cameras' internal processing systems have seen many optimisations. However, when it comes to their LCD monitors, there's still one incredibly frustrating problem. In bright light, it's often impossible to see the picture in the monitor. The new Sunshine LCD puts an end to this.
