Mark Peters : 2004-11-17 10:08:44
Olympus Mju mini DIGITAL fresh and revolutionary look exudes attitude. It's sleekly curved profile, coupled with a choice of six stunning coloured designs makes the Mju mini both chic and individual. The uniquely moulded design has lead to The Digital Imaging Websites Association (DIWA) bestowing its inaugural Design Award on the camera in recognition of its unique construction. In announcing the award the DIWA jury described the Olympus Mju mini DIGITAL as "a radical diversion from traditional camera designs which unlike many other design products is not an overpriced collector's item for the few, but a useful imaging tool for any design conscious lifestyle enthusiast."

The PRO digital SLR for medicine and science

Dennis Hissink : 2004-06-30 04:05:39
Ever more dermatologists, dentists, plastic surgeons as well as hospitals, universities and research institutes are using digital photography to capture images for comparison and documentation purposes. They all appreciate the advantages offered by this photo technology, the immediate control and processing possibilities plus very low costs. However, these alone would not have been enough for them to change from their trusted analogue camera systems. The ability of digital cameras, especially the SLRs, to record images with extremely high precision was crucial in convincing them of the technology's value. And among the professional models currently available, the Olympus E-1 is one of the best in its field.

Two macro flash systems for the Olympus E-System

Dennis Hissink : 2004-06-28 01:42:37
The Olympus E-1 is one of the best digital SLR cameras around. Proof of this are the many media awards the Olympus SLR system has received. In the first six months alone, it collected almost 100 awards from publications around the world. Recently, the range of accessories for this SLR was extended by the addition of two macro flash systems. Both the ring and twin flash sets come with an adapter ring and controller. They allow optimal, shadow-free illumination and turn the Olympus E-1 into an innovative tool for all dermatologists and dentists. Naturally, the flash units are also available separately. Digital images not only help the medical professional communicate with the patient, but also with his or her external support specialists.

All components of the system and the complete range of accessories are precisely attuned to each other. Because of this professional photographers benefit to an optimum from the many advantages of digital SLR technology. Right now, six months after the official introduction on the market, numerous accessories are available, like interchangeable lenses and flash systems. Olympus received a Golden DIWA Award from the DIWA Awards organization, for their Camedia E-1 camera and a Golden DIWA Award for the E-System. An interview with Ulrich Götze, European Marketing Manager Digital SLR-systems Olympus Europe:
