Welcome to Nikon Pro Online Winter 2004/5

Dennis Hissink : 2004-12-17 18:27:22
Robert Cristina, Marketing Executive SLR Systems Nikon Europe: "The last few months have seen some significant news for professional photographers with the announcement of a replacement for the much-loved D1x and - what was a surprise for many - the 35mm Nikon F6. The new cameras underline what professionals have been telling us: that film continues to be used alongside digital according to the needs of the assignment or the client. The F6 makes this job easier by using a similar layout and menus so that digital and film SLRs can be used side-by-side with minimum interruption. Professionals also tell us that no two assignments or clients are the same."

NikonNet and Legends Behind the Lens honor Sandro

Dennis Hissink : 2004-12-07 02:54:37
It is one thing to capture an image, but a photographer who has the ability to capture the soul of his subject is one worthy of honor. For over 25 years, world-renowned photographer Sandro, has been doing just that. Considered to be one of the most successful commercial photographers working today, Sandro's images have an ability to capture the personality of the subject through techniques that range from the subtle to the provocative. This December, NikonNet's inspiring monthly, "Legends Behind the Lens," honors the work of award-winning photographer Sandro (His last name is Miller, but he is known professionally by his first name only). Sandro's work has appeared in The New Yorker, Time, Newsweek, Forbes, and Details, among many others.
