Micron - 2 new smaller VGA CMOS sensors available

Dennis Hissink : 2004-11-26 12:11:33
Micron announced availability of the MT9V012 low power stand alone sensor and MT9V112 SOC VGA sensor which are being delivered to handset manufacturers throughout Asia, Europe and the US. The sensors demonstrate Micron's ability to shrink the form factor of image sensors while maintaining leadership in image quality and low cost supplier position. The sensors are designed for the low cost and small size camera modules suitable for low and mid-tier mobile handset models, as well as dual-mode cameras, high end and 3G Smartphone models. "Our commitment to quality is apparent in our new 1/6-inch VGA sensors' capability to capture crisp, sharp images even under poor lighting conditions," commented Micron's Director of Marketing Farhad Rostamian.
