Lexar Media introduces JumpDrive Secure 2.0

Mark Peters : 2004-01-28 00:28:48
Lexar Media announced JumpDrive Secure 2.0, the 2nd generation of Lexar's security oriented, ultra-rugged, impact-resistant, password-protected USB flash drive. JumpDrive Secure 2.0 offers increased file security with U.S. government approved 256-bit AES file encryption, in addition to faster data transfer with support of the USB 2.0 specification. The easy-to-use security software on JumpDrive Secure 2.0 is compatible with both PC and Macintosh operating systems, and since it resides on the drive itself it is completely portable from one computer to another. The security software allows to designate private and public zones on the drive to store files in either an encrypted password-protected area, or a non-encrypted password-free area.

Dennis Hissink : 2004-01-23 04:09:35
Lexar Media introduced JumpGear-MP3, a unique digital audio player that utilizes Lexar Media's JumpDrive Sport USB flash drive as its storage medium. JumpGear-MP3 is a next generation portable device that increases the functionality of JumpDrive Sport, and capitalizes on the surging popularity of both digital music and USB flash drives. Using JumpDrive Sport as the memory source allows users to upgrade memory to 512MB with a single JumpDrive Sport, or carry several JumpDrives, each with its own collection of music. The USB 2.0 speed of JumpDrive Sport makes downloading large music files fast and easy, and the writable file label on the back of the flash drive allows users to organize multiple music collections with ease.

Lexar Media introduces JumpDrive Traveler

Dennis Hissink : 2004-01-21 00:31:39
Lexar announced JumpDrive Traveler, a new USB 2.0 flash drive that enables Internet browsing from Internet connected computers without leaving history or session information on the host computer. About the size of a pack of chewing gum, JumpDrive Traveler allows users to access email, bookmarks and other personalized Web settings from PC computers. Additionally, the software provides file synchronization to quickly and easily update files from the USB flash drive to the computer. To enable private and secure Internet browsing, JumpDrive Traveler stores Internet activities, such as URL histories and cookies, onto the USB flash drive, and securely erases them from the hard drive of the host computer when the user exits the program.
