Mark Peters : 2004-10-11 22:02:17
Lexar Media introduced two new Professional CompactFlash Readers designed to address professional photographers' need for almost instantaneous data transfer and an improved project workflow. Built with material similar to a digital camera, with a unique industrial design of hardened plastic and rubber over mold, the new card readers can be easily stacked and daisy-chained together for concurrent download of images. In addition, the new card readers support Lexar's ActiveMemory System for improved photography workflow. Delivering image read and write speeds in excess of 10MB per second, Lexar's new CompactFlash Readers are available in USB 2.0 and Firewire formats.

Mark Peters : 2004-02-21 08:33:59
Lexar Media introduced a 32-bit CompactFlash (CF) CardBus reader, designed to enable the quick and convenient transfer of digital images to notebook computers. Lexar Media's new 32-bit CardBus CompactFlash reader boasts high speed data transfer rates similar to FireWire and USB 2.0 readers, and 4 to 6 times faster than 16-bit PCMCIA card adaptors, which are commonly used with laptop computers. Lexar's 32-bit CardBus reader offers support for both Windows and Macintosh operating systems, extending the portable, high-speed solution to Macintosh users for the first time. Lexar's new 32-bit CardBus reader does not require external cables, nor does it occupy the often-limited USB or FireWire ports on a computer.

Lexar Media unveils two new JumpDrives

Mark Peters : 2004-01-26 02:18:46
Lexar Media unveiled JumpDrive Sport and JumpDrive Elite, two of the company's latest USB flash drives. Both feature USB 2.0, for high-speed file transfers, capacities of 128MB, 256MB and 512MB, and unique industrial designs that offer style and functionality. JumpDrive Sport and JumpDrive Elite are extremely small and able to fit easily into most USB hubs and USB ports found on notebook computers. Both flash drives include a writable area on the back of the drive to record its contents to aid in file organization. JumpDrive Sport features a patented rubber cap that wraps securely around the entire flash drive, making it more impact-resistant and protecting the cap from accidental loss.
