And the Konica Minolta Dynax7D is compatible with the full range of Dynax/Maxxum AF lenses. The Konica Minolta Dynax7D is a lens-changeable digital SLR camera that inherits many of the high-specifications and performance from the Dynax series SLR cameras. Introduced in 1985, the Minolta 7000 was the first 35mm film SLR with fully fledged AF-system able to use interchangeable AF lenses.

The Konica Minolta DiMAGE X31 is one of the smallest cameras in the world and includes all features we have seen before on the X21 camera. According to the specifications we can conclude that the LCD display on the back of the Konica Minolta X31 has an increased resolution from 60,000 to 76,000 pixels. Still the format stays 1.5-inch. The Konica Minolta DiMAGE X31 has a really fast start-up time of just 1 second, 3.2 Megapixels and 3x optical zoom on board. Konica Minolta announces development DSLR camera

During the press conference held in the PMA convention centre Konica Minolta announced the development of the first interchangeable-lens digital SLR camera. The new model will be named Dynax 7 or Maxxum 7 Digital depending on the market they will appear on. The new DSLR camera will go on sale in autumn of 2004. The Dynax 7 Digital/Maxxum 7 Digital will accept the Minolta A mount, compatible with the full range of Minolta AF lenses, as well as Dynax/Maxxum system accessories. Combining the best of established 35mm system photography with digital photography affords photographers the ability to more fully express themselves than ever before.


New DiMAGE Xg camera from Konica Minolta

During this great PMA show Konica Minolta introduces the new DiMAGE Xg digital camera. The DiMAGE Xg's compact (just 20mm thick), unobtrusive body stems from its proprietary, non-extended 3x folded optical zoom, which is a feature that will make this camera attractive among a wide range of users. With the world’s fastest start-up time (As of January 1, 2004, for 3.2-megapixel, 3x optical zoom models) of approx. 0.8 seconds, the DiMAGE Xg can realize a rapid shot with no waiting. The DiMAGE Xg can shoot both still images and movies beautifully. The Automatic Digital Subject Program Selection determines the conditions, and then selects suitable photo mode. The camera's range of movie functions enhances the fun of making movies easily.

PMA introduction: Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z2

The DiMAGE Z2 is the second in a series of easy-to-use SLR-type digital cameras and a step up from the DiMAGE Z1. The DiMAGE Z2 also boasts the Rapid AF (Auto focus) and is now offering world's first SVGA (800x600 pixels) movie recording option! Konica Minolta has raised the bar with the adoption of a GT lens and a 4 Megapixel resolution, delivering picture clarity at the very top end of the spectrum. The New DiMAGE A2 is the second SLR-type camera that features the innovative CCD-shift mechanism we first saw with the DiMAGE A1 camera. In response to user needs for higher picture quality and greater shooting comfort, Konica Minolta is proud to release the DiMAGE A2 SLR-type digital camera, a camera that will inherit the quality and performance of the DiMAGE A1. The DiMAGE A2 comes equipped with an 8-megapixel 2/3-type progressive primary-colour CCD with 8.0 million effective pixels for super-high-resolution, making even individual hairs or the stitches of a suit stand out in sharp detail.
