New Kodak EasyShare LS755 Digital Camera unveiled

Eastman Kodak Company unveiled the EasyShare LS755 zoom digital camera, a sleek, Japanese-designed model created for the person with impeccable style and taste. It pairs high tech features and outstanding image quality. The camera will be available in Japan beginning in Q4. "We developed the LS755 camera to meet the discerning eye of Japanese consumers, who relentlessly seek the best combination of form and function," said Yusuke Kojima, general manager of worldwide digital camera and system development, and vice president, Eastman Kodak Company. The size of a deck of playing cards, the EasyShare LS755 camera’s aluminum body houses exclusive, high-powered components and technologies to deliver and share stunning pictures.


Kodak introduces new EasyShare DX7590 camera

With the introduction of its new EASYSHARE DX7590 zoom digital camera, Kodak expands upon features that made the KODAK EASYSHARE DX6490 model one of the most popular cameras in its class over the last year. A unique combination of sophisticated features, exceptional performance, and trademark ease of use gives amateur photographers the opportunity to shoot like a professional. The camera will be available worldwide beginning this month for US$499 (MSRP), setting a new price-to-performance benchmark for high zoom consumer digital cameras. New Kodak EasyShare CX7530 and CX7330 cameras

Kodak today introduced two additions to its point-and-shoot line of consumer digital cameras, the Kodak EasyShare CX7530 and Kodak EasyShare CX7330 zoom digital cameras. The EasyShare CX7530 camera is ideal for the digital photographer who wants great photos, one-touch picture taking simplicity, plus a degree of creative flexibility. It offers 5-megapixel (MP) resolution for rich photographic detail as well as the ability to enlarge photos up to 20x30 inches, a 3X optical zoom lens, an exclusive on-camera "Share" button and integrated digital photo album, and multiple pre-set scene modes. The CX7530 camera will be available worldwide beginning in July 2004 at a suggested retail price of just US$299.


Kodak unveils new EasyShare DX7440 camera

Just when you thought there are no cameras left to be introduced Kodak unveils a new 4 Megapixels digital EasyShare camera. The new EasyShare DX7440 combines high-performance photographic control, a professional-quality Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 4x optical zoom lens (equiv. 33-132mm on a 35mm camera) and a rapid 0.2-second click-to-capture rating. Working with renowned German professional optics designer Schneider-Kreuznach, Kodak equipped the camera with an f/2.8 – 9.5 aspheric lens to provide striking edge-to-edge brightness and sharpness across the frame. Image quality is unsurpassed when compared to other 4 MP cameras, thanks in part to the Kodak Color Science image processing chip.


Kodak introduces DCS Pro SLR/c camera

Providing professional photographers with a choice of lens mounts on its new digital SLR cameras, Kodak introduced the KODAK PROFESSIONAL DCS Pro SLR/c, a digital camera compatible with the popular CANON EOS lens mount. It offers the same superior resolution, broad ISO performance and extended burst depth found in the acclaimed KODAK PROFESSIONAL DCS Pro SLR/n digital camera built on a NIKON F-mount and introduced in February, 2004. The DCS Pro SLR/c digital camera contains a high-performance imaging system and full size 35mm size CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) sensor, boasts 14 million pixels with a total available ISO range of 6 to 1600 and offers variable resolution raw files.

Kodak goes 6MP with the new DX7630 camera

Another pre-PMA release and this time from Kodak. Kodak makes the big step into the 6 Megapixel league by introducing the new EasyShare DX7630 camera. This could be an interesting consumer camera where user-friendliness and high resolution go hand in hand. Unlike other manufacturers Kodak is one of the few brands that has actually introduced a 6 Megapixels camera; Kodak is taking some serious steps. With 6-megapixel resolution, a professional-quality SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH VARIOGON 3x optical zoom lens, precision low-light autofocus system, and a host of creative controls, the camera is well suited for the avid photographer. It will be available in April 2004 for a suggested retail price of US$499.

Well, its getting a little bit busy with all those introductions with the PMA around the corner. We are preparing ourselves to cover this great event in Las Vegas where location and event are perfectly mixed. Like every year we will report from the show floor and publish a special PMA report which will cover all the major announcements and interesting stories! Today we inform you again of some new consumer cameras. This time Kodak is introducing three new ones in the EasyShare line: the CX7430 camera, with 4 megapixel resolution and 3X optical zoom; the CX7300 camera, with 3 MP resolution and a fixed-focus lens; and the CX7220 camera, with 2 MP resolution and 2X optical zoom.
