The Konica Minolta DiMAGE X31 is one of the smallest cameras in the world and includes all features we have seen before on the X21 camera. According to the specifications we can conclude that the LCD display on the back of the Konica Minolta X31 has an increased resolution from 60,000 to 76,000 pixels. Still the format stays 1.5-inch. Sony introduces all-in-one MPEG-4 Network camera

Sony Electronics introduced the first in its line of network cameras to offer MPEG-4 video compression in addition to JPEG to provide video and audio capabilities over limited bandwidth. The new SNC-P1 model is a network camera that incorporates a wide angle mono-focal lens and a built-in microphone with an embedded web server. The camera is capable of up to 640 X 480 size resolutions, and up to 30 frames per second can be achieved on either JPEG or MPEG4, at 320 x 240 resolutions. The use of the MPEG-4 compression format is well suited for the public internet, or other limited bandwidth environments. The SNC-P1 model is planned to be available in August through authorized Sony dealers at a suggested list price to be determined.

Nikon today announced the introduction of the COOLPIX4100, a new consumer digital camera with slim dimensions, 4 Megapixel performance and surprisingly simple operation. Building on the success and capabilities of the COOLPIX 3200 and featuring the same stylish grip, the COOLPIX 4100 feels comfortable in the hand and makes operation easy through its enhanced Graphic User Interface (GUI), which displays easy-to-see menus on a bright 1.6-inch TFT LCD monitor. Furthermore, all controls are placed on the back of the camera for convenient access. The COOLPIX 4100 even has the advantage of 14.5MB of internal memory. This allows the user to shoot pictures when there's no SD card inserted, or copy shots between the internal memory and SD cards.

Sanyo DSC-S4 and Sanyo DSC-S3 digital cameras : Sanyo has announced two digital cameras; Sanyo DSC-S4 and Sanyo DSC-S3. Both cameras are entry-level digital cameras with a 4 and 3.2 Megapixel resolution. The Sanyo DSC-S4 features a 2.8x optical zoom lens, the Sanyo DSC-S3 a 3x optical zoom. Both have 16MB built-in memory. To enlarge this capacity you can insert a SD or MMC card into the memory slot. The optical zoom lens of both the Sanyo DSC-S4 and Sanyo DSC-S3 features 2 aspherical lens elements to reduce the chance of chromatic aberration. The algorithm of the Sanyo DSC-S4 digital camera can reach an interpolated 8 Megapixels (3264x2448 pixels), the effective resolution of the Sanyo DSC-S3 is 3.2 Megapixels (2048x1536) pixels.
